I buy multiple variants because I can't decide which one I wanted... I am also trying to slim down my collection. too many records... no self control.

Seriously contemplating selling a large chunk of my blink collection. Of my 400 records, 200 are blink. Every variant of every 12” record. It’s just becoming too much to keep up with and takes up so much space. I’m realizing they are going to press EOTS and Buddha to infinity so I’d rather draw the line somewhere and just be happy with it.

 

A lot of times when they aren’t worth that much, I just take the hit and trade them in to my shop. I get store credit, which they give more store credit than cash but it’s still not the value of what it’s worth. Normally it’s about 1/3-2/3 of its value. But with how much PayPal takes from a Discogs order, it’s gotta be like 40+ for me to want to go through the whole rigamaroll of selling on Discogs

 

I did this recently and just listed them on eBay starting for $0.01. Most of them sold for $10ish plus shipping, but one obscure one literally sold for a penny and I lost money selling that one, but it really was more about just getting them out of my house than it was about getting the most money I could for them.

 

Grabbed the tour variant for NFG's Catalyst last night. They had quite a few of them left, I suspect extras end up online once the tour wraps next week.

 

If anyone wants Mis Sigs Controller across the pond their UK merch site has leftovers. Act fast!!

Mentioned this in the thread but man, I love this album, and would really like it, but $40 + tax + no media mail shipping option is $50+ for a SINGLE LP. I think on principle I just can't justify that.

Yeah, it’s tough for me to justify that other than it will always be more expensive on the resale market. $40 for a single LP is highway robbery though.

 

I might wouldn't have hesitated if they offered a media mail shipping option. I hate paying for fast shipping on preorders for albums that are already out.

Anyone seen any official word on the cost, details, etc. on Across the Universe 3x LP vinyl via Interscope Vinyl Collective (IVC)? They were supposed to announce it "soon in October..."

 

Hoooooly shit that was quite an expensive hobby in 2023. if you average like $25/ea. (including shipping/tax), that's $11,325 in vinyl for the year. Do you think that's about right?

 

I see this being like $60 usd. But seeing what the aftermarket has been for over a decade I guess that's "nothing"

 

We don't talk about the money we spent... At least I don't haha.
