Mine is easily my favorite record that I own

 

Hahaha. I don't know any Kieran. Or any short Korean dude for the last 20+ years for the matter ..... ;)

 

Supposedly Fat Wreck is being sold to Hopeless. Interesting.

 

Heard this is done from a source that would know. Fat Mike really wants to just retire retire from what I heard.

 

I have no insight into what would change but that does feel like a big deal!

 

The All-American Rejects have a few represses up.

I imagine not a ton would change; AFAIK Hopeless is independent (albeit really big) and this would probably just let Hopeless own the catalog. End of an era in terms of the Fat name but I can think of a lot of worse hands it could be in than Hopeless.

 

Hopefully the vinyl prices stay low

10 years ago I would’ve instantly bought the 3rd and 4th albums but I just don’t collect as much anymore

 

I have no interest in those, never got into them. And now that the band has basically given up on new stuff, at least for now, I can snag 2nd and consider my collection complete for what I want.

 

Oh man, Kids in the Street is awesome! But markedly more reserved than the first two albums for sure.

 

I don’t hate them. They just never did anything for me.

 

Additionally, in 2008-2009, I lived in a dorm. The bathroom/showers had a radio that people basically kept on 24/7 on some mainstream station that I swear played the same 10 songs on repeat all day. One of them was Gives You Hell. So, I hate that song with a deep passion.

I’d go into shower and nobody else would be there at times. I’d turn the radio off. Within 5 minutes somebody always turned it back on. I couldn’t escape it.

 

Maybe Hopeless will repress more of the Fat Wreck back catalog.

 

I could do with some Loved Ones represses! I got none.

 

I asked Dave at a show earlier this year if Build and Burn would ever get a repress and he said his understanding was that Fat didn't have any interest in doing so. Hopefully this changes that!

Big day for me

 

Can't wait for my copy and I just got a ticket to their Toronto gig in November the other day!

 

I was a lifeguard at an inner city public pool from 2006-13, and listened to top 40 radio all day all summer for 8 years. So many songs are seared into my brain. Makes me feel bad for retail workers, especially at Christmas.

Heard every single day at closing time. I sort of miss retail. Corporate America sucks ass.

 

idk, i'd take corporate America over having to hear Carrie Underwood's greatest hits, Creed, and worship music on shuffle for 8 hours a day any day

 

I worked at Walmart for 17 years. I feel like I heard Babylon by David Gray everyday forever. Some songs still trigger working retail.

Once I became a manager as soon as the new cd with music would come in I'd immediately rush to go swap it out! Even though 70% of the music was the same stuff anyways haha.

I do remember one month they had The Widow by The Mars Volta and I was like whaaaaaaa?!
