can attest that this dude has worked HARD to get these decks. Watching him scour the Facebook collector pages. Great collection!!

so glad to have (mostly) finished my vinyl shelving project. now if you'll excuse me, I have to fuss over the lighting, decorative nick-nacks, and arrangement of the LPs far too much for the rest of time.

Catching up on some new album listens. Both Webbed Wing and Speed albums are awesome. They’ll definitely have lasting power with me. This year is just relentless with the hits. Contemplating whether or not I need them on vinyl.

  9. Oh dang. I didn't look into it so I didn't realize that's what that was. At that point you'd probably be better off bringing unwanted records to a used record store and asking to trade for store credit or something if listing them individually on discogs seems like that much of a hassle to you

  11. I mean most local places give maybe anywhere between 1 and 10 dollars per record depending on quality, rarity, etc so when I trade in records in a store I usually just trade in records that go for under 20 dollars on Discogs

anything in the 30 and above range I want to sell I usually post here or on Discogs

I didn’t think it would be a good option for valuable records. My closest shop is 1.5 hours away, so if I could unload the $1-$30 unwanted records through some easy, online option that would have been cool. Maybe they’ll fix it now that they got criticized?

  13. Ah okay that makes sense. I'm still thinking along the lines of used books cds and dvds that wouldn't go for over ten bucks anyway

  14. Also I didn't think I might be privileged to live in LA where there are several record stores nearby

My American Hi-Fi and Vertical Horizon records showed up today. Very happy.

American Hi-Fi had some small seam splits but considering the journey I’m not surprised.

this reminds me that I would do a lot of illegal things to get my hands on The Chariot skateboard that happened at one point

    England.

Makes you wonder where things like this end up - hopefully a lot are prominently displayed but how many got used and destroyed, how many are just put away as ‘junk’ and just laying somewhere collecting dust. At least we have eBay etc nowadays but I often wonder this about vinyl releases.

  24. American Hi-Fi came in yesterday and I now have no open preorders for the first time in years. Not sure I love it tbh!

    England.

I have 5 in the post and 8 more on pre-order.

I thought I’d been good but clearly not…

Trying to get things settled into my house… have to move them next week as the floor and horrendous ceiling are being done then it’s just alphabetising.

Moved everything to one shelf and put away the overfill for a while.
