@satellitexyears chiming back in on a prior post of yours, but re: that HEALTH double album (DISCO4 GENERATIONS), how was the pressing quality on that? i was about to hit purchase but i encountered horror stories on both Discogs and the band's Patreon that indicate it's a shit pressing - so much so that Loma Vista fired the plant after its release

 

preorders up for From Indian Lakes' Able Bodies Anniversary Sessions. this is the closest they'll ever get to a proper repress since they don't own the rights to the original master recording. FROM INDIAN LAKES

 

Really? I thought it sounded alright. Maybe I'll revisit. Some songs are so loud you can't really tell it's bad haha.

I mean it's not a Black Mile to the Surface by Manchester quality. That album sounds brilliant on vinyl!

 

I would consider selling my original press (autographed by Joey) for the right price.

 

agreed re: ABMTTS. i guess another question is which variant of DISCO4 is it? i know the white variant is the more problematic one, but i think the red/blue copy is a bit better

That Billie Eilish IVC vinyl sold out super quick.

 

It saddens me that ‘standard black’ vinyl seemingly isn’t fashionable anymore. It’s why we started collecting them. I love a nice variant don’t get me wrong but it will always be about black vinyl.

 

Wish I grabbed the original on Triple Crown as it sat in stock forever back in the day.

 

It doesn’t matter to me personally. Black keeps the cost down to a pretty affordable $26. Prior to today, any copies of it were going for $125+. They do have an RSD orange variant from about a decade ago, but you have to shell out some big money for that.

 

love it when USPS says they've delivered a record, but there's no key for a parcel in my apartment mailbox, no additional packages in the mailroom, and no signs that the truck showed up all day.
