A return to the darker/grittier style would be just what I need to get hooked on his music again. I rarely go back to S/T or Ramona Park but love everything up through Big Fish so much

Also agreed - the monotone delivery really hurts my enjoyment of his last one. I'm fond of the S/T though, but I can see someone saying the same thing about his delivery there. The production is great though and probably heightens it for me.

 

Hearing him on the feature on Tyler The Creator’s “Stuntman” and then his other current work is like night and day. He sounds so energized with Tyler and so bored with the rest.

 

Big fan of the self titled but yeah I revisited Ramona Park last night and was mostly bored

 

I also have not cared for him since Big Fish unfortunately. the feature on Stuntman def gave me some hope that he's remembered how to rap with energy

 

I really enjoyed s/t and ramona, wasn't huge on FM but yeah BFT felt more and more like a detour of his discog rather than a driver, and that makes me sad since that's one of my favorite rap records ever lol
