So far I can say for sure this is the best sounding album I’ve heard this year.

 

“MAMA’S BOY” would fit right in on the self titled and wow, “BANG THAT” right after..this is great on first listen!

 

Odd one out I guess, did not love this

 

This is very good. AYE! might be my favorite so far

 

I’m with you. I’m sure it’ll grow on me but it’s nowhere near as immediate as his last few. I feel like I enjoy his last one more than most as well.

 

Yeah I really like most of the beats but I wish Vince didn’t sound so monotone on most of this. He had so much personality in his delivery on his earlier albums that feels like it’s been mostly missing on this and the self titled

God damn the beat on When Sparks Fly

 

Extremely strong first impression. Sonically it is everything I loved about S/T, just expanded on. Lemonade might be his catchiest since Norf Norf.

Papercuts and EPP really stood out as doing to me what The Shining (top 5 Vince song for me) does.

Even my daydreams is haunted

I think this might be his best project. Sorry everyone.

 

This is good. I'm kind of surprised at how low-key it is, which is good for me (part of why I loved S/T so much), but even if I didn't notice a particularly weak track, I did feel it started to sag a little in the middle. The vibe just doesn't switch up much. Minor complaint, I'm really enjoying it and I'm sure it will continue to grow on me, but I do feel right now that S/T is a more succinct version of this sound.

 

about half way through this and definitely find this to be a step up from his S/T album. Papercuts is the highlight for me so far

 

On Sparks Fly and yeah this is great

I liked the more experimental feel of the last one but I think this will be a lot of people's favorite of his.

Yeah this is my favorite Vince album. I get the criticism that it's mostly lowkey Vince but I actually think there's a good amount of variety here. It gets off to a bit of a slow start for me but then hits a crazy run, "When Sparks Fly" and "East Point Prayer" is the heart of the album and I loved most of the tracks from there on.

 

The blues might be my favorite here, surprisingly

I just finished my first listen and while I can't say I immediately enjoyed it as much as FM! or the s/t (or really any of his other records), it's still pretty good. Echoing the sentiment that it's less experimental, more straight-forward--not my favorite version of Vince. There are some tracks I genuinely didn't vibe with, but maybe they'll grow on me--the one with Lil Baby comes to mind. I'll keep listening. All his stuff grows on me as I return to it more.

 

I know this is gonna grow on me crazy but this is just cool on first listen kinda half listening
