I think magic is the better song of the two released but man rose street is so much catchier.

If this tops the self-titled then I’ll be thrilled — not surprised tho because I like Magic and Rose Street as much or more than my favorite songs on that project.

 

maybe I'm a bit biased since self titled is my least favorite release from him, but it seems pretty clear to me that this album surpasses it

 

Gotcha, it grew on me a lot but is still kinda a “throw it on in the background” vibe, nothing as immediate as my favorite tracks from Summertime 06 or the others. But the singles have definitely hit that spot for me so this one seems like it might be special

Loved self titled but it sounds like this one could become my favorite.

FM! S/T AND RPBMH all seem thematically linked and I know in recent interviews he’s saying this feels like the culmination of what he was trying to get across with those projects..

 

I THINK I’m going to wait until tomorrow, as much as I don’t want to.

I wanna feel old for a second and remember that Summertime 06 first got streamed on npr and I was in my college computer lab listening to it. I now have to wait until 9 pm to hear on Spotify pain.

Guessing that's just an error. When you go to the album's page in Apple Music, below the track list they list the release date as April 8th.

 

“When Sparks Fly” is so good, legit haunting track. Good entry into the “rap love song about a girl that reveals itself to be about something else” pantheon.
