Tough to say if it was just my lesser in-depth knowledge of his stuff or not, though I did recognize the songs, it all kinda felt same-y to me in a sense. Again, not bad though
Gotcha. I definitely enjoyed Summertime 06, but I never got super into him or checked out his other stuff really, so I might wind up in the same boat as you then. Don't worry, you didn't just completely turn me off to the idea of going or anything... If things work out, I might wind up at the show anyway.
Idk if it's a difference from Coachella being a huge festival but I saw Vince headlining a small club and it was incredible.
I would be seeing him in a really small club. The venue is half the reason I want to go. If I wasn't already going to Freddie Gibbs, Future and Comedy Bang Bang all that same week, it would be a no brainer... but with limited funds I have to pick and choose and I already have tickets for the other 3 shows.
His stage setup was fucking crazy. He was in the Sahara tent, which is 95% of the time only dance/EDM music, and the lighting/stage is fucking insane. Anyway, his set was crazy and looked like this
it'll be alright, not worth the 100 before fees face price, but for 40 bucks it'll be a solid time. 1975, vince staples, flume, grimes, thundercat...not bad
Vince is the absolute king of opening lines in songs "Bitch you thirsty, please grab a Sprite" pumps me up every time
It's cool to have the full song but nothing compares to the impact the album version has, especially in its context.
She like annunciated it with disgust, truly baffling. But dope to hear this song plays on the radio tbh
