good thing you can still listen to summertime 06 whenever you want! i don't mean that in a snarky way by the way, it's just this is definitely the direction Vince's sound is headed in, so buckle up!

 

I figured as much, and I expect to enjoy it considering I really like the singles released so far. Like I said, maybe Vince will show me up and make me appreciate this style of production more. Who knows? I'm just so ready for this to be released already. I was really hoping it'd come out today instead of just a single

Hive is one of the greatest song ever and was also the song that introduced me to Vince. In fact when that song came out, if you remember the other feature was Casey Veggies, and for some reason I had it n my head that Vince was Casey Veggies. So I was telling people that I was into Casey Veggies haha.

 

Hahaha that whole album is just amazing, both of them.

I do prefer Wool to Hive though. I love love love Vince coming in, "Yeah Yeah yeah soon as I catch the vibe..."

 

Does anyone in here own Summertime '06 on vinyl? I want it so bad but have never seen it in my record stores.

 

I saw it at my record store on RSD. I almost bought it but I got Blood Orange instead.

 

It's in like 2 segments too, which makes it pretty expensive unfortunately. I'll just cop it off amazon or something one of these days. Easily one of my favorite modern day hip hop records.

A few posts above theirs a link talking about Zane Lowes tweets talking about them. Just speculation I assume but i don't see why he'd lie.

 

Hive is still the GOAT. That song is probably my favorite Earl track.

 

I really like this new song (everything Vince has ever done is good though, so duh) but the fucking sound of dripping/running water that is in the background is so fucking annoying and so distracting!!! Song would be made 10x better purely by removing that.

Listening to it right now and I think it's fucking awesome.

 

I only listened to it a few times and wasn't a huge fan. Planning to listen again soon
