Definitely don't think a wild ending to a wild record would be "weird" but I do like the restraint on RCD and how it closes everything out. For sure one of my favorites, BagBak probably being my #1
There'd be no sense of resolution imo. If the record ended on bagbak or something similar it would lack closure. It's like how old by Danny brown ends with float on and not kush coma
Yeah, I guess imo a wild sounding closer can still provide closure to a wild sounding album, just a different kind. I like the effects of a low key closer more, but I wouldn't be thrown off if Vince had decided to take things the other way -- especially for such a short feeling record. Def see where you're coming from though
Why not? These discussIons are why I love Chorus. I think Bound 2 is a better closer thematically but RCD makes me want to hit the replay button more
anyone else order the picture disc vinyl? mine still hasn't shipped and after trying to email the customer service address provided, i got a reply from Yahoo saying the email couldn't be sent. like, wtf, it's been a month and i haven't heard anything
I haven't heard anything about it either. Haven't tried reaching out though. I did get a shipping notification yesterday but I don't know what for. Hopefully either this or Kendrick.
I ordered it but I thought I saw it wasn't shipping until way later. Like maybe august but I want to say I might've even seen September.
holy shit, i revisited the page and i could've SWORE i saw "street date June 23rd" damn, i feel dumb, hahah. my brain associated Street Date with Release Date
Haha that's understandable. It'll be worth the wait once it gets here. I love the trend of autographed vinyls that has started.
Wish he was releasing a non picture disc version of this on vinyl. But with the pressing number I doubt it.
Unfortunately he really didn't seem into his set opening for Gorillaz tonight at all. I still enjoyed it but he didn't do much on stage. He was better during his appearances during the Gorillaz set though
Why the fuck hadn't I listened to this already? So great. Caught part of this guy's set at Forecastle last weekend and he was great. It was during this maddening period of time where Sturgill Simpson, Vince, Beach Slang and Phantogram all overlapped though so we didn't stay for his whole set sadly
