We should feel so blessed to have such a consistent artist like Vince. Since "Summertime '06," he's been on such a tear with what seems like hundreds of features, a killer EP and now this.
This is so good I can't wait to spend a lot more time with it. I really appreciate it being more concise. Nobody needs 20+ song albums unless you really have some something to say (Summertime '06 luckily does).
Summertime '06 wasn't long for a 20 track album, but this still feels short in comparison. Which most Of The time it wouldn't be a bad thing in this genre, but since I've already listened to 3 tracks a lot, it feels really short to me lol
it's a very brisk listen, i looked up and i was already half way through haha concise is a good word though, definitely to the point but it also moves quickly
I think that's the vibe he wanted to push for this album as well...wanted you really not have any moments to breathe and think about what's going on, creating a claustrophobic listening experience, much more so than Yeezus was, even though Yeezus was much more abrasive.
idk the album does have some room to breath with the interlude tracks and there are a few outros that are slowed down a bit. it's not like it doesn't stop. but yeah i think it's a great length.
I'm not much for really bloated albums, my listening periods rarely extend more than forty minutes at a time so I'm all for a digestible record that I can easily listen to front to back For example, I know the first half of More Life pretty well...
Listened to about half of this. Have to say I was a little underwhelmed. And I really liked the 3 advance singles. So idk.
