Rolled credits in Death Stranding 2 yesterday after knocking out the last 6 chapters in one sitting. I just couldn’t stop once the endgame kicked into gear. I'd file the whole experience under "extremely my shit". No one does it like Kojima. Now it's on to smashing things in DKB.

No worries, I am a regular (often too much) drinker.... And I get it was all in jest anyway... It's a common theme for any game for me these days beyond a point and shoot / ultra simplistic game - time away from playing = less familiarity and remembrance, and then I have a tough time getting back into it. I haven't finished BG3 / Ghosts of Tsushima / GOW Ragnarok / OC etc.

I have no idea why I just stop playing half the games I do. Shiny new toy syndrome with steam just in the background saying 'oooo what about this one'?

I mean, I was just pointed to Roguetrader on humblebundle (which I did snag) and chances of me finishing that are near zero.

 

when that happens to me I just admit to myself that maybe I wasn't into the game as much as I thought.

Finished the Ice Worm fight in Armored Core 6 shit was badass

 

I started Wuthering Waves last week. Really really enjoying the characters and story. I like this art style over Genshin. They’re pretty good with giving new players a lot of freebies. Almost done with chapter one of the main story. So far, there’s lots to do.

 

If you have problems finishing games I suggest knocking out a couple indie or 10 hour action adventure games to give your brain the dopamine hit of finishing a game. Pad out your longer games with those shorter 5-15 hour games.

 

No matter how many times I play or whatever build I’m running, Dark Souls’ Capra Demon drives me crazy. The small arena and 2 dogs are such bullshit lol

 

Yall i'm going to hang out with a girl this weekend at her place and we both have steam decks, what are some loca co-op games we can play together each on our own steam deck? That's a thing right? Does Cuphead have that?

I’m too dumb to understand Disco Elysium past the surface level. Maybe I just need to play again.

 

Don't feel bad I couldn't make it past the beginning room lol. Bored me to tears, I keep hearing so many good things but my attention was elsewhere.

 

I beat it lmao, and I enjoyed it but I don't get why people worship the damn game, but again I think its cause im too dumb lol

 

I hear sooooo much praise. Another thing was the UI, at least on PS5 I wasn't feeling the button layout and that tends to be a silly mental block, if it's so different than other games I'm playing at the same time I have a hard time mentally adjusting to a new/different controller layout.

 

I always felt the allure of the game was the writing personally, it really is that good.

 

and the art style. and the music. and the vibes. and Cuno.

 

I forgot about the art, yeah that too. Each character/personality portrait is truly beautiful art in their own way.

 

My PS Portable had a busted thumb stick so I returned it and ended up springing for a switch 2. I played the switch and ran through BOTW twice but sold it pretty soon after. I am so excited to catch up on all the games I missed. Also I have been playing Mario Kart world with my kid and did not anticipate how nostalgic and joyful it would be playing games with him. Has been a genuine blast. He’s a Pokémon die hard so we have been running through the n64 classic games too.

If anyone has recs for adventure RPG’s I am going to do tears this fall and then open to suggestions.

 

Highly suggest Tiny Terry. I may subscribe for the month just for P5R and Lil gator.
