Just met Noco!!!!

 

I chose Maelle. Sorry Verso she’s not ready to deal with her shit yet!

did you not cry like a baby when Verso kept saying “I don’t want this life” or are you heartless and cruel

 

I picked Verso. Assuming the gommage was going to end, everybody was just going to be souls wandering for perpetuity and Verso was going to stay alive as ghost of someone who was gone. Seemed pretty cruel for Maelle to get away with that.

 

after seeing how bleak the whole ending was I think probably not, I guess I thought it was going to be a little more neutral

saints row(2022) has like bad gameplay but the collectibles are cool so hey. It doesn’t hurt also the fact they got Rosalia, a tribe called quest, the 1975 and hatebreed on the soundtrack makes me go you know what, I’ll still play you.

 

Listen for sound cues, 95% of the time there is a sound cue for when to dodge or parry.

 

well damn. now i feel bad for choosing Lune Maelle. am i the asshole?

 

This for sure, noticing the sound cues made the later game a lot easier

 

To be fair I chose Maelle because I figured verso was the “good” ending and was much more curious to see how it would play out with maelle’s ending but yeah that verso line made me cry hard

 

Wow I definitely didn’t notice any sound cues, thanks! Really loving the game so far. Being able to aim & shoot + dodge & parry really makes the battles more exciting imo.

 

Completed Unpacking. Lovely indie game that was stress free and a nice palate cleanser after officially 100%ing Nightreign. Highly recommended.

Unpacking is great. and, as my friends pointed out, it's fun to watch your replays.

 

I wish i didn't have so much ADHD with games. I barely finish anything these days. I was having nothing but a good time with Clair Obscur and I haven't touched it in weeks, still in act II. I think I got intimidated by the picos and whatever else the system is called. In reality, I know with these games it doesn't have to be perfect but I always think I have to go super deep into understanding every last detail, and then I can't muster up the energy to play it and opt for something stupid like counter strike.

Maybe I'll give it a go this evening.

 

Best advice I can give you is have a beer beforehand. Picos are not that serious haha

 

Yeah I didn't really start looking into pictos and luminas until a little bit into the post game. By then, I had enough ambient knowledge of the systems that it wasn't too overwhelming.

 

I’m about 26% into saints row(2022) and I’m loving the completion aspect of it. It’s very simple and repetitive but that’s all I really need to listen to music.

 

99% of my daily struggles are dealing with things that aren't that serious lol.

That will be a good mid year goal though, finish a backlog of games im anywhere between 50 to 80% on.

I feel this so much. I think I said it before, but finishing Octopath Traveler 2 felt like a huge milestone for me because I tend to jump from game to game, only ever finishing small, simple indie games.

The picos in CO sort of confuse me as well but I’m just trying not to care too much.

 

oh, yeah, don't read those, we've been spoiler tagging bc we've been talking about the very end of the game haha

pictos took me a bit to figure out as well. equip pictos for four battles to learn them as lumina. after that, equip pictos mostly for the boosts to stats they give you, higher level equals bigger boost. your character builds will mostly come from the lumina you have equipped, so the more points you have available the better, especially since some of the later, more powerful ones start to cost a lot. the effects themselves should be pretty self explanatory but if you still have trouble with any battle mechanics related to lumina, ask away. friendly reminder all this plus explanations for other stuff like Maelle's Stances and Lune's Stains should be in the combat journal in the menus
