Wuchang is dope as hell so far

I'm like two hours in and the inner-connectivity and branching paths reminds me of Dark Souls 1. Love getting lost in games like this.

This isn't news to anyone but I just wanna share that spell making in oblivion with corresponding skills all at 100 (and the magicka to cast them) is absolutely bonkers

 

Some games I have played recently:

Nephise Begins: I have no idea how this got in my Steam library and from my research it is sort of a demo of a fuller game but it just seemed like another walking simulator, which I think I enjoy more than other people. Sometimes nice music and foreboding is all you need.

Far Cry 2: What a strange series. It doesn't even feel like it is connected to the first game. Apparently the third game is the big event so I will keep going but so far it is rivaling Borderlands in uninteresting series that I should not have been tricked to get based on names and Steam sales.

Jade Empire: When people talk about Bioware, the brief history often transitions from their great licensed games to their own franchises in Mass Effect and Dragon Age, and this game sort of gets left behind. Its hodgepodge of Asian settings and ideas is neither as interesting as their take in ancient Star Wars lore or as deep as the galaxy they developed in Mass Effect, and the gameplay doesn't to old style RPG as well as KOTOR or live action like Mass Effect. Andromeda is still to go but this is their worst one so far.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land: Maybe the best Kirby game, which is not really saying much, but it does an annoying thing in video games where the reward for coming down from completing the main campaign is a far less interesting objective that will have even stricter requirements. I only had to go back once to get more of the little fairy guys in order to progress in the main game, but here you have to be vigilant to collect everything to save the lion I never cared about anyway. Turning into a car and racing people sounds like it would just be another thing but here it is so fun because of the change of pace.

 

Because they're all so much fun, right?

 

Undermine 2 came out in EA and it's absolute EA dogshit, I know the devs will cook it into a great game tho

BUT

The first Undermine is on sale for TWO FUCKING DOLLARS

Heavily recommend for anyone who has ever enjoyed a rogue, it is easily in my top 10 all time

Yup, I really realllllly like it, I died to certain boss like 20 times but I was learning the rhythm of the game in the struggle.

There is definitely a unique rhythm to the combat in this game and it makes for a fantastic experience IMO.

 

They are fine but they are the fourth best series of platformers on the console.

 

It's a small feature but if you hold the use item button it pops up all your equipped items and a hotkey you can use to use it right away without needing to switch over to it, it's fucking NICE bro

 

Can't really argue that, but what are the other three? Mario, Donkey Kong, ???

Finished death stranding 2. Kind of can’t believe what I just played. 10/10 experience, stunning game.

I know he’s working on like 3 more games or something and I’m not mad about that obviously but this really does feel like Kojima’s final, grand statement. He really looked at the state of the world and said “oh, time to revisit MGS2 again!”

 

Still struggling to beat the final boss in Octopath 2 but I’m getting closer and closer. Spent the last few nights just leveling up my party, and tonight I gave the boss a few more tries and managed to get to the second phase each time. Hopefully I’ll be able to get it done sometime this weekend!

I started working at a cat cafe/rescue as a second job (yes its as sweet a gig as is it sounds) but I worked both my jobs the past two days and didn't JFG a lot. Needless to say this weekend will be devoted to JFG.

 

My job is 12+ hours, seven days a week unless we really get rained out. I’ve been more of a gamer in theory than practice this year unfortunately.

I finished Dark Brotherhood in Oblivion remaster. The plot twists! I don't think I got very far in that quest line before

 

I hate souls and soulslike levels that have poofy gas and puddles of poisonous shit everywhere and it spurts out all over the place and you constantly need to worry about getting inflicted with the debuff. Lol.
