i think the make FPS great again hat is cringe but i don't think they're MAGA, i think it's stupid just like when NDT wears a Make Science Great Again or bands have Make Emo Great Again hats
Towa? Looked like a Japanese Diablo-like and it had my attention until I saw rogue like and was like hmm. Persona 4 remake is being announced tomorrow, maybe. I thought we'd be getting some more Tales news this year. Or KH4. Or FF9. Or FF7r3 lol.
IOI showcase was mostly nothing but they did announce that they are working on co-op Hitman missions, which is insanely cool.
Honkai Impact started development in 2014 and came out in 2016. Genshin started development in 2017 and came out in 2020. Star Rail started dev in 2019 and came out 2023. ZZZ started dev in 2021 and came out last year. I guess the solution is moar anime themed games lol. All these games have their own dedicated teams so it's not like they started development and finished and moved onto the next game, they're all GaaS and actively being updated every 6 weeks. Hoyo is just making BANK.
They have in development ALSO an animal crossing type of game and a monster battler/catch game ala Pokemon kind of game. They're obviously the industry leaders and everyone's trying to catch up but honestly I think it was lightning in a bottle moment plus COVID that solidified them as the leaders. I still believe Sony is missing the chance, they own the Fate franchise and if a crappy Fate mobile game from 2015 has grossed over 7 BILLION as of last year.....just imagine an open world game using that IP, with the resources that Sony has at their fingertips.....
Since they did that more RE news coming soon earlier in the show, I was chanting to myself Dead Rising 5 over and over until it became more psychological horror.
I'm just so excited to go back to Raccoon City/the RPD building, gave me chills seeing that now if they would just bring back Claire
I'm very curious who/how is returning. We know Leon is 99% as leaks/rumors are stating he's back, but considering this game is THE one celebrating the 30th anniversary, I feel they want this game to be epic for the fans. I mean THEY'RE TYING IT TO OUTBREAK, I never ever EVER thought we'd see an actual follow-up. I know there was that tiny reference in 7 re: Alyssa but I never expected THIS. Carlos/Chris and Jill's VA can both be heard in the trailer according to Internet sleuths but remember these VA have also voiced other characters too in the RE universe so it's not guaranteed Chris/Jill are ACTUALLY in the game, but their VA is a d who knows with Capcom.
So I think we all agree SGF was at least fine if not good. but how do you guys feel about them heavily platforming Mundfish with no less than 3 games, a dev that is alleged to have heavy ties to the Russian apparatus?
I had to reread this article: Why are people arguing about Atomic Heart? :to refresh my memory on everything about the situation, and I think the pertinent question is did/does the company have ties deliberately with malice or did/does the company have ties that became unfortunate in the wake of the war? Were their statements vague to obfuscate or because they feared reprisal? I'd be very curious to know the answers on where they stand/stood, and I think it's really alarming that the only articles I can find are from 2023 and no one bothered to continue investigating this after the initial controversy, like they figured everything had been addressed/got bored of the topic.
