Hired Help is making all of the final fights in Octopath 2 soooooo much easier, haha. Agnea’s final fight was a breeze; my party took almost no damage, lol.

As another follow up to this, my return has been received but I instantly received a message telling me to anticipate delays in processing my return because the returns processing center is dealing with outages. I understand this is a first world problem. Once it processes, they will ship the replacement, but they have said that they cannot expedite a shipment regardless of issues. So whenever it processes, it'll be another 3-5 business days on top of that. I also understand that I ordered this thing on July 1 and there's a real chance I don't get it in my hands until the end of the month. And with all these delays, I'm not sure I don't just get another lemon! When it rains it pours, this is frustrating!

 

This game is SO SICK. Just put it on finally tonight.

 

I would be so dang frustrated too. It's going to be a sweet SWEET day when you get this new one and it works though.

I just started a second play through of RDR2 so I can do high honor this time.

 

Enjoy! Just finished my second playthrough this spring. It holds up!

 

The start of the game is such a slow burn, haha. I'm excited to get back into the world though.

Player's Log

Kena: Bridge of Spirits: Beat this one in like five days because it's so good. Would love to do a second playthrough and clean up all the collectibles and trophies etc., but I really enjoyed the story, the combat and exploration were fluid, the music was amazing, and the art style worked really well. Loved it.

Aer: Fun and quirky little platformer-puzzler. Gameplay was fine; it was all about the story, and I really enjoyed it. Would love to learn more about the inspiration behind it too. Very relaxing.

Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree: Got sucked into this one more than I expected, beat it after about 25 hours of gameplay and surprisingly unlocked nearly everything. Combat was a challenge for me but the art/story/exploration were super fun. I'll definitely come back to play again and try out an alternate build at some point, as I imagine that greatly affects gameplay all throughout. Devs are super cool and responsive as well (this was a Kickstarter game I backed). Fun time.

Injustice: Gods Among Us: Beat story mode on normal, really enjoyed it. Working my way through the comics and have Injustice 2 queued up as well. I can see putting more time into these games to play online/through the different challenge modes, as I enjoyed the fighting and don't play a ton of arcade-style fighting games anymore so this would scratch a nice itch.

Been a good month or two. Next up is finishing the main Skyrim storyline, playing Injustice 2, back into Skyward Sword and TOTK... and probably getting distracted by a new JRPG as well.
