Kinda lame that THPS 3+4 remakes don't have any cheat codes like the older games haha. Those were fun to screw around with. There are some mods you can enable like perfect rail balance, but nothing silly like moon physics or giant heads. No cheat to just unlock all characters. Etc

 

You can make it run faster and slower too. I tried it and it is very weird. I guess I can figure out who might use the slow option, but I can’t figure out who would need the faster versions. It’s so fucking fast.

Yeah and slower they only have half speed, but faster they have like three, and even 1.5 is already uncontrollable lol

One thing I wish I realized earlier in DS2: use the coffin as a snowboard in the mountains. I gave up trying to use my off-road, since they couldn’t drive up them. Walking up them took forever, even with the appropriate gear. I realized I haven’t even used the coffin for anything yet. I fabricated one and Sam went on it like a snowboard and I sailed up and down mountains to deliver stuff within the mountain outposts. Easy stars, since it goes fast and it doesn’t use battery as far as o can tell.

 

I played the 2 hour Crusader Kings 3 tutorial for the third time last night and I finally understand what the fuck is going on in the game lmao. The feudal system was a lot for my scatterbrain to fully grasp at first.

 

I have essential. Unfortunately I just don’t have enough time to warrant the other tiers

 

CK3 is like the first game I had to uninstall because I was sinking too many hours into it lol

 

Some games I have played recently:

Far Cry: What a rough game. I bought the entire series when it was very cheap, and I have a need to always start at the beginning. This game came out the same year as Half-Life 2 and three years after Final Fantasy X, so why does it look and feel so much older than that? Apparently the first game is not reflective of the series as a whole, so maybe it gets better over time.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided: It is so fun to play the sidequests. You know there are going to be at least 3-4 ways to approach the mission, and it makes you feel like you are the one who actually cracked the code. The storyline is not as prescient as Human Revolution, and it is a shame that this is probably the end of the series. Video game logic is always going to be wonky, but it is funny that I can come out, stab someone, crawl into the vents, and let my body heal while they have no idea where I went.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance: The combat can be more fun if you take the time to learn it, but sometimes it felt designed for someone with more fingers. Gameplay is always just a distraction to the ludicrous storylines in these games, and it does not disappoint here; it was a shock to hear the phrase Make America Great Again in a 2013 game. Metal Gear Solid 2 has always been my favorite, so having Raiden back was a pleasant return.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard: It would be much easier if people said that they don't like the game because it has a non-binary character. The game is not perfect; compared to the Mass Effect series, Dragon Age has always had a dramatically changing identity from game to game. It feels closer to Inquisition than 2 or Origins did to any of the other games, so it just seems like another piece of art caught in the culture wars. There is real emotional payoff when the big events happening, and being forced to make choices with no good outcome (like Mass Effect 1) is much more engaging than a game system where you can greatly minimize those Faustian bargains by doing and saying the right thing. Hopefully this is not the end for Bioware; from Knights of the Old Republic to today they are probably the best at western RPG's.

 

There are legit criticisms to be leveled at Dragon Age: The Veilguard and hand-waving them away under the guise of anti-wokeness is only a slightly better look as the inverse.

 

Haha holy shit, well i'm glad I finally connected the dots, of course there is still a fuck load I have to learn but I've grasped what the general concepts are.

 

wanted to try out the new TLOU2 mode (h/t Morgan) but obviously got stuck playing THE FUCKING ROGUELIKE OMG ITS SO GOOD?!

 

Ya I need the teams who made No Return and Factions to get more of that Naughty Dog budget
