Based as fuck. Although I like 1 better.

Never finished 3. I should do that sometime.

 

Now that my Balatro journey is mostly complete it’s time for another roguelike to throw myself into.

Lonestar might really hook me but the runs are definitely gonna be longer on average than Balatro (though I think that’s the case with most every game in this genre, part of why I loved Balatro so much is how much quicker a run plays) and though it’s not out quite yet the aesthetic and potential of Insider Training might really sink me

 

Just bought Slay The Spire because it is only 6 bucks on Steam right now. I've heard great things, can't wait to become addicted.

As a follow up to this, I received a bricked Steam Deck that wouldn't install the proper software and then wouldn't turn on unless it was plugged into a charger. Through a customer service/support chat, we figured out I received a lemon and they're sending me a replacement - only after I send them what I have and they "process it." Never been through this process before but some quick searching through reddit and other forums show it's somewhat common and Steam is known for their stellar customer service. Hoping that in a week or so this is resolved and I can just dive into a hopefully working steam deck!!

 

I couldn't fall asleep last night, which is very strange for me. Still not asleep at 3am and I was lights out at 11pm. I got desperate and I thought of a playlist I had on my phone "Wandering Appalachia" which is the Wandering Appalachia parts 1-8 from Fallout 76's OST. (I adore Inon Zurs Fallout work). Plugged in my little speaker and set that on repeat. That did the trick! The explore music in FO3/New Vegas/4/76 is some of my favorite soundtrack work.


My other thought from stuff I have on my phone was the Horizon Zero Dawn menu music on loop, or Skyrim's "Skyrim Atmospheres". Maybe next time....
