Microsoft is closing down Xbox studio The Initiative, with Perfect Dark killed as well — joining Everwild and ZeniMax's IP, and other unannounced projects

 

Fuck Microsoft.

 

idk as far as The Initiative is concerned, they had so many years and so much help... same for Rare and Everwild.

 

I repeat, fuck Microsoft.

 

I think it is unconscionable to give Microsoft your money, and at this point plain stupid to give them your trust to deftly manage the platform.

 

I was left just thinking geez it’s been a while since we heard some state of decay 3 news.

it also would have been perfect to get the first two on ps5 especially that multiplayer but nope it looks so cooked.

The worst is that this isn't in response to a bad year or even a bad quarter. They're doing well! They're making profit! It again demonstrates that success no longer matters if it ever did. Everything and everyone is expendable, and defeat is routinely snatched from the jaws of victory. And for what? More AI bullshit.

 

Cancelling the games is understandable. But laying off 9000 employees across the board? Absolutely brutal.

 

I’ve run into my first real challenging boss on Armored Core. This Balteus mf is a pain in the ass.

 

Hey i'm also playing AC6, my second time giving it a shot though so I already did my suffering with Balteus the first time.

I can give you a few pointers if you'd like!

 

I watched a few videos while exercising today to really give myself a shot to digest everything offered in AC6, I feel like I have a way better understanding this time then when I was incredibly overwhelmed the first time I played with it being my first AC game ever.

Speaking of AC6, 30th Anniversary of Ace Combat was a couple of days ago. Cheers to another 30.

Folks,

skate just did their next big update for the alpha and they cleaned up so much of the design and side stuff.

the music player looks great, the trick stuff looks a lot more cartoony. It feels like they decided to lean a little more into the cartoon aesthetic for it now.

they actually explain missions and the story of the game now lol. I’m pretty hyped. They even started to actually clarify loot boxes and stuff plus you can pick and choose what songs to play or not lol.

 

Now I'm reading rumours that Phil Spencer will retire after the next console launches and Sarah Bond is being prepped to take over.

 

And now MS is saying Phil isn't going anywhere lol. Kinda surprised they decided to address the rumors and not just let them be.... rumors.

Just finished Act 2. Now I REALLY see why people are into it.

 

In non fuck MS news just scrolling socials and saw these two games:

Ferocious. Modern Far Cry/Turok like shooter
Cronos. Bloober team game looks kinda Returnal esque

 

Nvm on Cronos looks like a straight Dead Space like. Not bad
