I said the same thing on here when I started Witcher 3. I beat it last year and already played it again this year. It's now one of my favorite games. It gets easier. Explore a lot in the beginning and do a lot of side quests and check every town board for new quests. I beat it on normal and absolutely sucked when I started it
I started and stopped Witcher 3 like five times over the course of a couple years before I finally forced myself to push through a few solid hours and then I absolutely fell in love with it. Incredible game

Just in time to dedicate all my time to. Lack Flag, I just finished Reverie. It's bittersweet, I managed to beat all four Cold Steel games in the past year, and beat the Crossbell duology on the year before that....so this main arc is finally, actually done. It really felt like living in an anime show, and while FF used to be THE king of JRPGs, I think it's safe to say that Trails has that crown now. Nothing beats this world. I said Estelle was my fav protag of the series....but that was then. This is now. ALL HAIL KING REAN.

(catching up on the thread, wanted to touch on this) that is actually correct. starting with Dark Souls, it really is just a Metroidvania with the way it loops around on itself, the shortcuts connecting the whole world; just with another axis HEAVILY disagree. honestly, the real thing that distinguishes the Souls games, and any good Soulslike, is actually the level design.
Not to be that guy, but xkaylinh wasn't saying it defines good Soulslikes, it defines the entire genre, good, bad, and mediocre alike. Unless you can point to an example of a really easy Soulslike.
Prey, Control, and Darksiders 3 all have fantastic level design. 3d metroidvanias that aren't considered soulslikes
Rolled credits on Hades II. Incredible game. Just an improvement in every way on the first, which was already great. Going to try and do the post game stuff without looking it up. Already woke up Hypnos lol
I started Black Flag Resynced last night. The combat is night and day with Oblivion Remastered, which what I just finished. It's also my very first AC game. The overarching story might rope me in eventually, but right now I'm having a blast running around Havana and throwing corpses at people.

Im playing bioshock on medium difficulty and the game is still hard as hell to me lmao these enemies got like top tier accuracy and the big daddies just fuck me up im slowly learning how to use all my abilities but damn
