Yeah, I think it was last year when it was noted that over half of the top 10 games on the PS Store were either MS or MS owned companies games. They've spent so much money picking up these studios that being a top publisher shouldn't be impossible. That's why I'll never understand the pivot back to exclusives for them..... maximizing profits SHOULD be the priority.
Like, I could write a book on how Microsoft spent years devaluing games and undermining their own ecosystem and this is the end result.

Microsoft loves showing off trailers for new games from studios and then shutting them down shortly after. I would rather make burgers at McDonald’s on minimum wage than ever work there again.

Finally got back to Mina after a long couple of days at work. Such a great game. It really doesn’t teach you much and you have to learn and explore by trial and error. What’s the next big game coming out? AC Black Flag remastered?
I like to think NT is talented enough to get a deal with a different competitor, the technical element of the studio is so damn good and hopefully someone else realizes this and gains from Microsoft’s loss.
All these little studios should just pool their resources together, because I want to believe in a world where that's possible and makes sense.

I’m starting to think it might be time to get out of the game industry… I’d love to do my own thing, but not really financially viable. Being owned by ABK/Microsoft is exhausting.
I will say it’s been entertaining having Microsoft push AI on studios then being like, oh this is really expensive and restricting the amount of tokens staff have and the ensuing meltdowns from some of the devs. We have one guy talking about his AI usage like he’s on LinkedIn.
I see an elevator and I’m like let me just press the button and call it. five seconds later I’m jumping out my chair cause those exploding dogs come out and I’m not prepared for that.
I finally completed Episode 4 in NTE and I started Episode 5 to unlock the new area, Sunward Island. I then proceeded to clean up all the collectibles. If I finish Episode 5, I have only one final side episode and the hospital anomaly commission to do, and then I have nothing but distractions and busywork until the next release. I do appreciate that there's so many activities like racing and shopkeeping and fishing and etc, but frankly most of them are not that engaging, I feel.
