My shift today was with 2 coworkers I hadn’t worked with yet and we just named video games all day it was awesome.

 

As someone who hasn’t played any previous Dragon Age games, it was pretty easy to acclimate to the game and the story.

Started a new BG3 play through today. A lil overwhelming after being away from it for so long.

 

I liked GoW 2018, I don’t think it’s even in my top 3 of that year tho

 

RDR2, Monster Hunter World, and Forza Horizon 4 all would've been better choices. FH4 wasn't even nominated(curse of the racing genre).

But let's be real here. We all know deep down Tetris Effect should've won.

Speaking of, it may have released only a week before the deadline but it didn't even get nominated for best music. Just an absolutely wild oversight.

i think if theres ever a year with no real great games then no game should get goty

i dont really care about awards tho haha

 

If anyone thinks there are no great games to play in any year, I actually question if they're even a gamer and what they're even doing.

 

God Of War deservedly won.

 

I turned on my ps5 to play some apex legends with a friend and then I felt stick drift and I went oh my god not again

 

MHW was a great game. No way it deserved it over GoW 2018. Get real

 

RDR2 is incredible. I was one of the sole champions of it in the original thread amongst all the cabinet haters. So it’s hilarious now all the people claiming it should’ve won.

 

i agree and let the record show i said “if theres ever” because ya know hypotheticals

who knows maybe sometime in the future the hypothetical may become real when all studios get consolidated into one soulless conglomerate

 

how does the sequel fare comparitively these days

 

I don’t know the different types of Arcs yet, but I started playing with a colleague last night and not only is this game even better with a friend, but we went to the maps I hadn’t tried yet and I discovered that what I thought was a massive arc was actually pretty small, lol.

 

my only problem with skate story has been controls are just a tiny bit wonky. I wish they did the same style as the skate games cause then it would have been perfect.

it also sucks this is a game I want to use my headset for so I can’t play without audio or do two screen for lol. I need to enjoy that soundtrack.

 

I am a fan of a good meme even though I am said gamer

 

Missed it by a couple days but the next part of noclip’s DE documentary dropped

 

Watched part 1, but think I'm going to hold off until all the parts are released. Love the quality and interviews.

 

No idea, I've never played it actually. I heard it's good but it gets repetitive.

 

I needed a game where I could just kinda hear with no audio so I can listen to music or watch tv shows/youtube and I picked mad max

i 100% it on Xbox a long time ago so I was like screw it let’s do it again and I’m sad there’s not another it’s still so good

 

I ain’t dissing madden but what a wild year lol

 

Cannot imagine a sports game ever being GOTY. Wild indeed.

 

Playing the Arknights PS5 beta.

It is extremely sci-fi.

It also has anthromorphs, the zzz crowd that loved *that* aspect of the game are gonna FLOCK to this.

Probably the best looking console gacha. Not as flashy of a battle system as WuWa but so far the character models and overall animations are ridiculous. I know Hoyo has stuff in the pipeline but these new ones are def lookers.

 

keep forgetting to start. got it downloaded.

 

Maybe it’s nostalgia but sports games in the early 00s were, by and large, legitimately great
