I think it's really funny that Steam put out the Steam Machine ten years ago, it bombed, but now that the Deck succeeded they feel emboldened to try again. Nintendo should give the Virtual Boy another go. Oh wait.
I am not sold on Goodnight Universe at all. It started off really good and engaging, but it is getting less interesting very fast. Some of the writing is a bit clunky, too: a character referred to AIM earlier in the story, but another just referenced Twitter?
In Stardew I hit a wall where I don't have much big immediate things left to work towards. Did every major surface level thing in the game. I think I am going to finally try to grind it out and try to get True Perfection (triggers the end credits cutscene and gets you a magic statue that generates 1 Prismatic Shard per day) I am only at like 15%. Still need the golden clock, finish 2 of the 4 warp obelisks, still have 5 or 6 fish left to catch. Still got like 2 Stardrops left to find. Have a bunch of items I haven't shipped. Still don't have every recipe let alone cooked every meal. Need to craft every craftable item in the game. Need to reach max friendship with every NPC. It's a lot.
NCSOFT announces MMORPG Horizon Steel Frontiers for PC, iOS, and Android This.....doesn't look THAT bad? I remember when the concept art and very early alpha footage leaked 2 years ago and it looked extremely goofy lol. I don't even think it was known NCSOFT was the ones working on it either back then. Hopefully it comes to PS5.
Just finished and I am baffled by the good reviews for Goodnight Universe. Game had its moments but overall it kinda stunk imo, which is saying a lot because this is the exact kind of game I usually love (and I did love the first 1/3). Maybe I would’ve enjoyed it slightly more if I had used eye tracking but I didn’t even find the writing particularly good. Not sure if I should do Strange Horticulture or Winter Burrow next.
Split Fiction is possibly the best multiplayer game I’ve ever played (although it’s not like I play a ton of them). I’ve never played It Takes Two, but the friend I played SF with said SF is way better (although they primarily had issues with the story in ITT).
3 day weekend for me, think I might give Rue Valley a try. Seeing some mixed impressions, but it looks like something I'd love.
I beat Dark Forces last night, so now I'm either going to start Outer Worlds 2, or go back to Expedition 33 and try to beat Clea and Simon again, but on easy difficulty.
Okay, I’ve narrowed my next game down to: Winter Burrow Strange Horticulture Life Is Strange (assuming the controls are fine on a Deck) Or if any of you have recommendations in the vein of, like, Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood or Perfect Tides, I’m open! The shorter the better.
Wait I’m reading about Dispatch now and while superheroes aren’t necessarily my thing this could be perfect
It's pretty good, I enjoyed it a lot, if you liked the old Telltale games you will almost certainly enjoy this I think
