I’ve been splitting my time between lies of p, skate and tape to tape. I think ima hold off on skate until the game comes out for everyone cause I don’t wanna be on the final area while everyone just starting out.

I’m loving tape to tape as a game I can listen to music for but my only real complaint is I wish bosses change every run. It being a structured run makes the rng of items cool but I want everything rng lmao. Bosses too.

 

Had to get a gift card to make it happen but finally got to dig into Gears reloaded and man did I miss playing Gears. And the campaign is just as creepy as I remembered it, though I’ve been co-oping it with a friend and he likes to fly through it so I’m gonna have to go back and do it again by myself sometime.

played a few online matches and yyyeah def not good anymore lol. Started to get the hang of it again after a while but long way to go to get back to being an asset and not a liability lol.

Forgot how satisfying it is to long shot someone in the head and get the skull popping sound. Forgot how big of a headshot hit register there seems to be with it too. Still love the torque bow. Also forgot a lot of the OG maps, and forgot how much you have to ADS with the gnasher vs blind firing which got more prevalent in the sequels.

 

Astral Chain is an impossible beautiful game at 4k 60fps.

 

I fucking hate playing co-op with people who rush through games.

based purely on my Steam played times, FC took me 57ish hours, and 3rd took me 53ish hours, but I also started FC about 4 times before it really hooked itself into me, so I don't think it's even really that much shorter? I think if they can justify FC as a standalone game, there's no reason they can't do 3rd, personally.

 

Is this like Danganronpa?

 

Yeah, the 3rd is by no means a short game. It's different because it's all in one dungeon instead of being a kingdom-trotting adventure, but it's still got quite a lot of content. It absolutely could not just be an "epilogue", unless a lot was cut out to truncate it.

 

So I've stumbled across something similar to LaunchBox called Playnite, basically a frontend to use to organize your gaming libraries and play from. And while it's still not exactly what I'd been hoping for to meet my very exacting needs (true nested organization), it's way more robust than both LaunchBox and Steam's library, and I'm really enjoying figuring out what I can do.

At first I was just going to copy my Steam organization into it, but now I've been rethinking things. For example, in Steam's library I could only have a company be a category with all its games inside and that's it, but in Playnite what I can do is make a category called Indie Teams and then have everything in the category organized by "Series", and if I make each company a series, then what I end up with is a section called Indie Teams with each little company like Supergiant, Yacht Club, Thunder Lotus, organized under there with all their games.

It's giving me so many new ideas for how to better organize my stuff. It's pretty fun. And because it works for emulators too, once I'm done organizing my Steam stuff, then I can do the same for all of that.

Is 3rd really that much longer?? It took me really only maybe 20ish hours, but I zooooomed straight to the end, didn't touch any of the side content (doors) where FC and SC took me 60-70 hours. I just wanted to get to the Crossbell games so I watched a lore recap of the doors on YouTube.

I’m hooked on ninja gaiden ragebound atm super fun on the steam deck. A little frustrating for my level of gaming though lol I get to the bosses die a few times and go I want to try this on the bigger screen (aka pc) but then remember I’d have to reach the bosses again and then I start grinding lol like come on just let me beat this boss…. Haha basically this process has repeated with this game daily for me ha you’d think I’d learn but nah.
