such a good game but so fucking hard lol I got brick walled at the end of chapter 3 and haven’t gone back in a couple months but it’s solid as hell

 

So god damn hard, i hit a wall even at the end of chap 2, the game doesnt let you coast, it wants you to use all the classes and capture monsters and won't let you grind, so that's cool but it goes against all my playing habits lol.

 

I legitimately did not know about capturing monsters until I hit the gryphon master in chapter 3 and looked up how to do it because I was at a loss

 

Just beat chapter 4 of LaD IW. This game is so fun, I'm just a trashman, going around digging in dumpsters. There's SO MUCH TO DO. Story is.....a *bit* lacking as it feels like in 4 chapters the plot has advanced barely at all beyond recruiting new team members.

 

Split Fiction spoiler but omg this is fucking hilarious, can’t wait to get to this part with my girlfriend lmao

 

Wanted some open world RPG slop to play today so I downloaded AC Odyssey which I don't think i've played before? My brain is too damaged to remember. I know I played Origins. Looks gorgeous on my PC. Deff getting hyped before Shadows.


At the end of Suikoden, just need to recruit like 25 more party members first lmao.

 

Some real fantastic parts in this game

 

I stared AC Origins recently and it slaps pretty hard

 

I fucking love origins. It’s the peak of the franchise to me. Even though I think Odyssey is funnier.

 

Odyssey is amazing imo

 

Honestly I think gameplay wise Split Fiction really is a treat, there's some really thoughtful and challenging stuff... but my god, I'm 6 hours in and the writing has absurdly missed the mark for me.

And, for people more tuned into the lore of this game: are the main characters canonically hacks?

 

Hazelight's writing is objectively bad but luckily it is less in your face here than in It Takes Two. It's also hard to care when the gameplay is so good. I'm at the start of the first main fantasy section and there have already been two instant classic boss fights.

 

Getting locked into an AC game is so fun

 

I was getting back into Valhalla when I realized I had other games I wanted to play, this was a couple months ago. Love that game. I do want to get back into syndicate, that recently got a PS5 patch and I haven't played (and dropped) since launch way back.

 

I mean yes, of course, but they lost the endearing qualities that It Takes Two had, imo. This is just obnoxious and irritating.

 

Started Avowed today. Couple hours in and it’s definitely scratching that itch for a western RPG. Combat feels real good

 

Knights in Tight Spaces looks cool but it sounds like it inherited all the previous game's flaws and picked up a few of its own. I love the concept but the rng is terribly unforgiving

 

Star of Providence is a really entertaining rogue. it absolutely has me hooked, good shit Dunkey

 

It's wild that everyone keeps talking this game up now that it's on Switch when it's been on Steam for like, eight years.

 

It Takes Two some of the best gameplay with some of the worst characters and writing I've ever seen in a game. I'm glad to hear Split Fiction is a little better in that regard. That's been the only thing holding me off from buying it.

 

The Baldur's Gate 3 mod for Stardew Valley is out, so here's another opportunity to romance Astarion
