Activision confirmed THPS4 will not have the campaign. So really this is a 3 remake with a 4 map pack. There goes all their goodwill. Unbelievable.

 

Huge disappointment. It’s not a faithful remake if you strip away the identity of the game

Don’t get me wrong I’ll still play it because I also love 3, but it still sucks and shows a kind of disrespect to their own legacy. Also it shows we won’t ever see THUG again probably.

 

Or worse, we get THUG levels with timers lmao

It did leak......so SOME people have it. But not the day 1 patch so it's an old build.

 

THPS 3 + 4 went from instant purchase on my PS5 to now probably end up getting it on gamepass playing it for a bit and then cancelling gamepass lol.

if they go through with keeping THPS 4 as timed.

I never played THPS4 but I played pro skater 3 tons on my GameCube so the change for 4 doesn’t bother me. What I’m interested in are the secret characters.

I doubt they’ll pay Disney the rights to use Darth Maul and Wolverine again. Maybe they’ll throw in someone Microsoft owns like Crash or Spyro

Spyro did skate in his original games so it would be a natural progression

we all know why the thps 4 thing is the way it is, it would cost more money and time to actually pay the developers to do it properly than just slapping 4 into the framework of 3 and calling it a day

 

I played so much yesterday, it was hitting so perfectly. There's nothing like these games. I played a lot of Eiyuden Chronicles and really liked it but it just does not come close to these two games. I'll prob finish Suikoden 1 by tomorrow I can't wait to get to 2. So locked in.

 

Also, been enjoying high rank MH Wilds a TON. I was having fun during the low rank story mode but it didn't feel completely like Monster Hunter, I am very very content with the high rank stuff. LBG has been so fun.

 

100%. Murayama had went on record saying that he wanted a simpler, not as much drama game as the first entry to introduce the world compared to the political Game of Thrones drama in Suikoden so yeah I definitely agree it wasn't as high stakes. IF ONLY we get a sequel. Dunno how much of a lore bible Murayama left behind for the team to flesh out future games.

Hell, I'm super intrigued with the suikoden gacha game coming out as it's set between 5 and 1 so hopefully if there's interest we could potentially get a suikoden 6. Devs have said all 108 stars are recruitable via story and gacha is only costumes for the main 108 and characters from other entries so it *should* be relatively pain free for people who despise gacha.....but hell I know I'll drop money no questions asked haha.

 

I'd be so happy if Suikoden hit gamepass. Not that I'm expecting it, but it's my only chance to play. lol

 

I need to play 3 through 5, i'm so iffy on playing older games these days, im just spoiled by all the remasters and remakes being done. I may be motivated enough to try 3 after I finish 2 on an emulator though
