I’m just old and rusty ultimately though, long gone the day of old when I’d play those games all night listening to the radio.

 

Speaking of these games getting hard, I wonder if they will change up thps4's goals at all. I just played it for the first time last month and the later levels get a bit insane. The high combo in the last level is 1 million points.

 

It sounds like they’ve condensed THPS4 down to the 2 minute timer format of the first three and I’m not happy about that at all

 

Where did you get that? I would personally prefer that.

THPS4 levels were not designed around a 2 minute format, and neither were a good chunk of its goals. The open free skate approach was the entire identity of that game and paved the way for THUG. I really don’t want a watered down version of it

 

there are clearly two sides of fans here because I didn’t like the open world / unlimited time format that was introduced in THPS4. Those levels are all fun for free skating but the challenges got ridiculous. I like the simplicity of 1-3.

 

I love both formats in their respective games, I just want 4 as it was. A level like Alcatraz for example is pretty huge, and I just can’t see how a 2 minute format for that map would work without seriously handicapping the original experience

For some reason I let my ex keep my Legion 7 and since it’s going to be a very long time since I can afford another gaming laptop I decided to join GeForce Now. I’m gonna try hooking my Mac Mini up to my TV to use it which should be cool.

 

I think that’s going to be *fucking awesome*. Hearing great things about GeForce now.

Never liked the 2 minute format. I loved the first 3 despite of it, not because of it. Felt so freeing once it was gone.

 

Btw I am I crazy or did 4 have both? I feel like I definitely remember a TH that had a sort of classic mode next to its main mode

 

As someone who actively disliked the story of It Takes Two, all I needed was for Split Fiction to nail the gameplay/art direction/level design etc the same way It Takes Two did. Stoked to give it a go.
