Is this not the first time you can play as a woman? Seems pretty interesting to me!

The GTA trailer had more detail and love poured into it than most games.

I guess I get being jaded with any kind of AAA popular game, but GTAVI being uninteresting is a strange take. Borderlands 4? Absolutely. Assassins Creed Shadows looking like just another AC rpg? For sure. Fascinated with how GTAVI parodies a modern society which is arguably a parody in and of itself, also more intrigued by the swampland/everglades rural Florida stuff than the Vice City aspect.

Pretty relaxing game for the most part. Some fun dialogue as well.

finally getting around to my secret santa games, started with The Last Spell and Thirsty Suitors.

Oh my fucking god, I was not ready for Thirsty Suitors. It's very funny.

(The Last Spell is great too, obviously.)

Hit the point of no return on Saga's story in Alan Wake (presumably also Alan's, but I haven't checked yet). Doing some collectible cleanup before diving into that and absolutely loving everything about this game still. Feels like it's going by too fast.

I also started up my first playthrough of Final Fantasy 6 and man, is this game a treat. I can see why people love it so much.

I ended up playing Lake just because I already had it, very simple but a nice experience despite the controls not being the greatest.

all of the others suggested will be on my list!

2 months after starting it and 105 hours later, I finished Breath of the Wild. It was an experience I sure won't forget!

Overall, I do have a few gripes about the game, but they may be amplified right now due to feeling burned out towards the end. I was close to completing all the shrines but at some point got sick and wanted to see what was waiting for me at Hyrule's castle. Perhaps I was overpowered, but I have to admit I was disappointed to beat Ganon this quickly. I also didn't even use the swords and other stuff I had kept for it, though it doesn't help that I ended up in his room by accident as I was looking for the memory found nearby, so I skipped all the mini bosses found in the area. Just like I barely used my shields, or cooked anything during the entire game as well. Makes me feel like I played it weirdly lol, ah well.

As I'm back to playing videogames, all of this did help me figure out my tastes. I like open world games but I don't think completing every single thing is up my alley after all, so I'm not sure how differently I'll handle Tears of the Kingdom further down the line. I won't jump right into it and probably get it later this year instead. Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask on the 3DS, among other non Zelda games, are waiting for me in the meantime.

That said, I went back for one last session, as I realized I had missed the Tarrey Town sidequest. I did it as a coda and it kinda got me emotional, wishing I could get to know these characters even more. The sense of wonder and adventure was special, taking me back to playing Wind Waker as a kid. I would fly just to chill between quests and stumble upon random, fun stuff like when I ended up at Rito Village by accident and died at the cuteness found in the characters. Exploring the vast map, suddenly thinking "oh shit, did I just see a dragon?? what the hell??" or "why is this mountain glowing??" and having the urge to find out what this is all about... moments like these were easily my favorites. Made me feel like I was part of a Miyazaki film for a second.

Ganon was p easy in BOTW but the journey and exploration were incredible

I think one of the reasons those bosses aren’t so hard is because your technically supposed boss to be able to go and beat them right after the tutorial

  21. This is interesting because when it comes to Ganon, I had to use one of the special attacks you unlock after beating the divine beasts. I wonder how many different ways you can defeat him
