Definitely getting Monster Hunter day 1. Just played the Chatacabra fight after not really seeing any gameplay outside of the monster reveals. Probably the most fun Ive had fighting a the first monster in any of these games. Really fast paced.

just got the platinum for ghost of tsushima and finished all the trophies for the expansion

I clocked in 60 hours for completion

Wait I thought it was another long as hell game you’re saying I can do everything in 60 hours including the expansion??

 

Just got a free PS4 from my neighbor

 

it’s not a true platinum cause there’s a bunch of multiplayer trophies I didn’t even touch.

but they did a pretty good job of making it so where you can’t miss anything to get a platinum.

 

Not only am I the only person in the world that’s watching the Super Bowl on mute on their iPad while playing Metaphor on the tv, but I’m the only one in the Philadelphia area doing it too.

 

i was taking another look at the games i've gotten for free on various platforms and spotted Blade Assault on my Amazon account. it's a rogue like Have a Nice Death but with gameplay a bit more similar to metroidvanias like Foregone and Cookie Cutter. well, i mean, yeah, they're all action platformers... progress felt frustratingly slow at first, only beat the first boss a handful of times, but i managed to unlock all the characters in about a couple hours. it took me a little while after that to realize there was an easy mode haha... still only beaten the second boss, though, but it's definitely been more enjoyable after that discovery. unlocked quite a bit of the skill tree as well. in each run you choose one of four characters with unique playstyles, then use elemental cores (fire, ice, electricity) to upgrade various aspects of your build (main attack, charge attack, skill, dash, etc.) aside from the rocky start i had (which, admittedly, was partially my fault), i guess my only gripe is there's way too many types of currency.

oh, speaking of Have a Nice Death, i know i had a back and forth love-hate thing going for a while there, but after i beat the final boss the second time i started to really get the hang of it and did runs just to see what kind of builds i could pull off. fun game. rocky start for sure, but i got there in the end.

 

12 hours in and Im really enjoying Metaphor. Just started the second big arc. The story is so ambitious and they are nailing it so far.

 

I'm at the end of the story myself with about 73 hours in. Or at least I think it's the end. Either way, it would've been my GOTY last year. Enjoy!

 

I think I’m at the end of the story pending any sorta last minute twists ha. It’s been a fun ride. I’m not a huge fan of the deadlines if I had to complain about something but seems like they give you ample amount of time for things just worries me ha

 

I’m the same way, time limits in games always give me anxiety even when I know they’re not really hindering me. But I think every time the deadline came, I didn’t really have an issues. Doesn’t stop the anxiety, but it for sure gives you enough time to be where you need to be every time.

 

about 4 hours into Prince of Persia and absolutely loving it - this is a great modern metroidvania
