It sucks and it happens to all these big companies. Especially, video games companies. Lets not pretend this is isolated just to Microsoft. My heart goes out to everyone involved. It is unfortunate that something we take great joy from, involves real people that use this to put food, clothes and a roof over their heads.

 

Hopefully going to try and finish Jedi Survivor this weekend. Game is a beast and I have put in at least 60 hours in it so far.

 

The make or break of Veilguard for BioWare was absolutely real ugh.

 

Did that game not do well?

 

just saying, you really don't have to cape for any of these companies, especially not the platform holders. they're all vile.

and while yes, layoffs happen at a lot of companies, doing it without any sort of notice, immediately terminating people and ending their health and dental and giving them no severance is ... especially harsh.

but to be fair fuck the US for letting companies do that in the first place.

 

Yeah my company deserves a lot of shit for laying off the people they laid off, but they did provide severance and didn't put an immediate end to their insurances

Microsoft is so fucking lost right now. It's really hilarious to see.

 

I just think it's a little funny when people claim Microsoft is smart, yet they can't get people to buy their console which, supposedly, has an abundance of software, whereas the other two consoles are selling like hotcakes.

And if the other platforms are so bad and nobody plays games on them like I’ve been told, why bother putting your titles on them?

corporations are truly vile and the way Microsoft have handled their layoffs is horrendous. They don’t need defending or “well actually other companies do this too”
