I’m realizing The First Descendant is what I wish Remnant 2 was

 

What do you mean?

 

It's prob just because First Descendant incorporates a dodge roll too but they have the same vibe but First Descendant is a tonnnnnn more fun.

 

Remnant 2 was a very meh grind

 

Ah, I didn't find Remnant 2 to be a grind at all. I found it to be significantly better than the first game. I just wish they kept the roguelite mode from the first.

 

I don't say grind in a negative way, i like grinding. Remnant 2's core gameplay is based on grinding no? You reroll maps and characters and replay stuff to grind away and hope for good drops.

 

The first descendant just looks like a more microtransaction heavy version of Warframe. Maybe I'm missing out though because I'm hearing wildly mixed opinions

 

I'd give it a shot, I have felt zero reason to spend any money and i'm about 15 hours in, maybe theres a wall you hit but it doesn't seem like it. Battle pass is really just there if you are into cosmetics, which i'm not so i felt no need to purchase it.


It's been really fun.

Nice interview with the director of the Ys and Trails series.

Biggest takeaways: we're very close to the end of Trails. Specifically he says not to expect a 30th anniversary.

Also, we may see Falcom start branching out and trying new things, but it also sounds like they take a lot of pride in being flag-bearers for the JRPG genre.

Looking at the new PS Plus games, Remnant 2 looks like Destiny 2, but third person.

 

I need to get more RAM for my PC but it still runs pretty well

 

I have not been hearing very good things about first descendent but I’ve heard nothing but good things about remnant 2

 

Put ape escape 3, and the ratchet and clank ps2 games on there and then we’ll talk.

A trails kart racing game.

 

Remnant 2 is better than Destiny 2. It's kind of a soulsish game, but easier and with guns.

 

Dude fr i’d be pretty shocked if you didnt like First Descendant.

 

Remnant 2 is now free for me tho!
