risk of rain 2 is the most frustrating game I’ve ever played because I know I’m good enough to beat it but I can’t

have you ever tried doing a second loop around the 4 stages before going to the final stage?

 

No I know you can do that but idk how

 

On world 5 there’s a little switch on the teleporter you can interact with that will make it loop back to world 1 instead of teleporting you to the final boss world. You want to toggle the switch *before* you start the teleporter boss.

 

How have I never noticed this

 

Will I then have to go through worlds 1-5 again on impossible difficulty or does the difficulty reset

tvck if you take that key you have to help me get a winning run when you get good at the game

 

Difficulty is always increasing, the idea is to get more loot and get your build ahead of the difficulty though. You have a better chance at a super OP build that can beat the boss after 11 stages then after just 5.


My numbers are off I think but you know what i mean lol

 

question is, is this good on Steam Deck?

 

Thank god Nickmercs at least had the right take and managed to not be transphobic at all in 55 seconds.

 

Its good unless you get into a really deep run where there are hundreds of enemies spawning but for the most part its solid.

 

@sophos34 pay close attention to the items you pick up too, idk how much you are looking at your build during runs, 3d printers can completely change your run for the better. I used to always have this Item Tier List in front of me to make decisions on what to pick up.

I’ve figured a lot out on my own but this is gonna help a lot but like I said I can consistently make it to the very end of the game with little problems I almost always die to some bullshit in the final level or during the final boss fight

 

like the other day I had one of the best builds going on engineer I’ve had in a while. I didn’t come across a single double jump feather the entire run though. In the final stage I had 2/4 pillars ignited and fell from a sloppy jump. Run ended.

 

Yeah but I can fall behind the recommended five minute per level timer pretty bad if I’m too focused on hoarding power ups it’s a tough balance to strike and knowing how much time to spend and how much it’s gonna pay off later is hard to gauge with randomized loot

 

I think doing a second loop around will solve things for you forrrr sure

 

Like I’ll spend an extra minute or two going to snag chests I missed and get absolute bullshit from them

 

Yeah its deff luck based, theres other times you will come across a couple legendary items though and boom thats the run

 

Until you miss a jump in the final stage smh
