If they were to remake Chrono Trigger, would y’all want a faithful HD2D remake or something along the lines of FF7R? I figure that it’ll have to happen eventually, so I’m curious

 

I’d like every game remade in HD2D

 

Square would absolutely not invest the money to remake Chrono Trigger like FFVII.

 

This is why we can’t have nice things. I don’t know how that dude can be so nonchalant about ripping someone else off.

 

honkai, WuWa and eventually ZZZ got me at my limit for gacha games at this point. I had dropped Genshin in late 2022 bc i felt so overwhelmed by it which is funny bc i jumped on it when it first launched. How much is worth going back now?

 

im more baffled by the fact they haven’t ported the remaster to PS, switch and xbox as yet.

I’ve actually never even heard of that. Going to have to do a deep dive later today now. Lol

 

Callisto protocol, still wakes the deep, octopath games. This is a very good drop

 

Glad I never grabbed Callisto Protocol on sale now. I do want to at least give it a shot.

 

There's a LOT of content and world to explore. Having played since launch, I burnt out around the 4th region only because the area was super boring to me (rain forest and then deserts inspired by Egypt) because of if it's vastness. If you ask people it's the biggest love it or hate it place in a game full of high moments. It was the equivalent to HSR's Xianzhou Luofu, where people felt it was really meh and the game's pace hit a lull. However in genshin it was due to the actual exploration as many fans say it was the games first actual shining moment in its story. The story in that area is had some great lore, big revelations, but exploration was a mess.....there were underground caverns and ruins in the desert you would get lost in and the map was just a static image, it didn't read you were underground so the map showed you as above ground, it was just a mess until they fixed it and it took a while. The most recent region after that which is where we're at now is my most favorite place and introduced underwater mechanics and exploration, the best story the game has had so far imo, and the best characters so far imo. New region is approaching sometime this summer and according to leaks we'll be getting mounts now lol.

While I usually enjoy sci-fi more than fantasy, while I love HSR I'm deep down the rabbit hole of genshin lol. Like I grasp the overall plot of HSR but I don't dive into it where with genshin I watch lore recaps and theories haha. I have barely any understanding of HSR's Simulated Universe lore and The Swarm and the major implications of all the paths but I could rattle of conspiracies about the world of genshin. I'm more invested in genshin's world than HSR's.

I will say though HSR has more QoL than genshin and whole genshin is slowly adapting some of it, it would be better if they hurried it up. Like the 240 TP and the fact it has overflow.....we literally JUST increased from 160 to 200 in genshin this week. And no overflow. While there's some endgame (think MoC of HSR), people have complained about lack of more than just that and genshin just got a new mode in addition to the already existing and is due for even more soon. Which is cool if that's your thing, I couldn't care less lol I play the game for it's story, exploration and battle systems. I love playing around with the different elemental effects. Like MoC in HSR, I don't even touch genshin's Abyss except maybe once every few months. Genshin has more flexibility in it's artifact system (HSR relics). But yeah, if you ever want to hop in you'd have a LOT of stuff to do and a huge ass world to explore. And it's only getting bigger! If it was up to me, Mihoyo would make a HoyoPhone with their games pre installed and with expandable memory. HSR and genshin are both 20+ GB and getting bigger every patch, Honkai 3rd exists (dunno it's size) and then ZZZ is coming.....these games need dedicated devices lol and Hoyo is missing out on selling such devices for JUST their games, because there's a considerable amount of people who play on their phone and/or tablet still.

WuWa.....maybe if it had launched on PS5 I'd still be playing it. Wasn't a fun mobile experience for me. I'm hoping to try it out whenever it hits the system, just depends WHEN. Cuz between Hoyo's games, there's also the Bandaid Namco/Amazon joint gacha Blue Protocol which looks interesting! There's only so much gacha one person can play......

 

i had recently booted up genshin to see what changes they made and holy crap did i miss a lot. Knowing full well, i may just jump back on at some point it just depends on when. HSR is probably what genshin is to you. I also do feel WuWa will jump on PS5, it’s just kinda odd they didn’t have that prepared for launch. Blue Protocol is another one i may dabble into someday too.
