I gotta play 3’s DLC still but I’ve heard you should play 1 and it’s DLC to understand

 

Beat Hi-Fi Rush, what a fantastic game. 9/10, just put a big ole smile on my face throughout.

Now I think my next big game will be Spiderman 2, though I wanna peek at that Mad Max game from a long while back after revisiting Fury Road.

 

Lmao I finally got my older brother to check out skill ups YouTube and he’s like “dude I went back and watched his best games of 23 video I wanna play hi fi rush”

 

System Shock does a pretty good job at making you feel guilty. These audio logs are pretty devastating to listen to. It's the right way to do audio logs tbh. I dislike Bioshock's audio diaries for example because most of them have no relevance to what you're currently doing.

 

Yeah I figured so. Considering one of my fav things about this xeno universe is the HOW and WHY everything came to be, the creation of the universe, etc I've been told 3's DLC will be right up my alley. Those kind of revelations DEFINITELY made the connections between 1 and 2 awesome.

 

Yeah I’m going through this series the same way I played the dragon age games so I’m expecting a ton of lore related revelations as I make my way through the first two

 

Outside of the universe's past, I'm already seeing connections to both 1 and 2 while I'm playing 3 and it's bringing a smile to my face.

 

Player's Log: Fishing Paradiso.

Such a fun and interesting game. Bear's Restaurant was a story about heaven and hell disguised as a cooking "RPG", and so too is this game a story about heaven and hell with a relaxing fishing game inbetween story bits.

The fishing part is absolutely mindless as it really only involves hitting a button at the right moments, so you can really fish to your heart's content without any frustration, and it's very easy to earn money for upgrades and whatnot.

I'm in love with this company's style. Old school 16-bit graphics, RPG style interaction, and simple but fun game mechanics, and I don't think it's terribly long either, but I have no way of knowing that, I guess.

 

all the games they made were bangers it’s a shame they never really came into the Xbox series x era

I honestly think Future Redeemed is one of the best DLC expansions ever for a game of this size. That and base 3 became two of my favourite games of all time. The conclusion was very satisfying and my dumbass was crying a bit ngl. Makes me wanna replay all the games again.

 

started Odin Sphere last night, game is so fun. Vanillaware does not miss.

 

Stoked for the Yakuza show, hopefully they keep the weird, wacky elements in the show.

 

I’m doubtful they will tbh. I bet it’ll be serious

Lies of P has been a grand fucking time. It’s made me enjoy soulsborne games in general again.

 

Genuinely loved that game and have been itching to play it again. Excited for whatever DLC/sequel they do.

 

I'm not gonna lie I was kinda "done" with it after finishing and was likely not gonna play the DLC but watching @oldjersey play it has reinvigorated me and I'm back in now
