Player's Log: Fireproof Studios

I never returned to Boundless Trails. I will someday, but I kind of just want to move on for now.

Instead, I'm exploring the works of Fireproof Studios, who make the series called The Room.

There are four main games in the series so far, as well as a VR game which I don't have since I don't have VR.

In any case, they're fun but mildly ominous puzzlers that involve solving the mysterious workings of interesting contraptions.

They're made for mobile, but ported masterfully to PC. I already beat the first two games way back, but I'm replaying them for shits and giggles before I move on to the third and fourth.

In a twist, this time I'm using Achievement Manager to relock the achievements so I can feel the rush of earning them again.

I love ramming into shit and just utterly destroying it in a car with the cow sled upgrade. SO SO GOOD

 

Seen conflicting things around xDefiant - is anyone enjoying it? Seen a lot about good player numbers, but also people complaining about gun feel etc.

That game was too fucking good and I'm still upset we never got a sequel.

 

I’m having fun but it’s not perfect. Overall it feels solid and for a free to play game that JUST launched its worth a look

I think I’m done with Hellblade 2 after a couple hours. Just nothing here that makes me want to keep playing

 

I downloaded fallout 3, 4 and New Vegas on to my Xbox so let’s hope it works long enough for that.

 

Rogue Prince of Persia Reviews are out:

- gameplay great
- not a whole lot of content
- performance issues so far, chugs even on crazy powerful rigs
