i know the audience for fighting games in here is very small, but everything about Akuma's release for SF6 has been amazing

i love that they made him a huge boss fight in the Battle Hub (the lobby area) and made a new Boss version of the character w new moves, which just kicked the shit out of me 10 times in a row (i won't say how many of those were a Perfect KO)

and they finally added the feature to use music from across the series during fights!! music from Street Fighter 3: Third Strike was truly godlike

I mean what does that even mean? Games have been using “AI” since the beginning of video games, just not the kind of AI that’s trendy right now. if they’ll be using AI to produce art and voices and dialogue fuck that but if they’re just talking about NPC scripting then yeah that’s just typical AI in video games stuff hopefully taken to a new level

They're definitely going to have to announce some first party games soon in order to try to get people to feel the need to upgrade. The only one we know of is Wolverine, right? And that Insomniac leak made it sound like its getting pushed to 2026.
