You're right, of course, it's still a From game.

I do feel like the success of a run really comes down to:

• making sure you're high enough level (8->12->13/14) per respective night,
• get procs of their weakness on the boss,

and less individual skill. which is fine because there's 20 other From games if I want to get that kind of sweaty.

This might be the first From game where the things you need to learn is map/enemy placement and speeed, and not attack patterns.

 

The game requires a lot of communication and planning. Speed is the key word. You need to be on the move at all times and yes, going into the final boss with as high a level as possible. I think the highest I’ve ever got going into a boss was 12. To get 15 requires the precision of a neurosurgeon. Also, pro tip to new users: hit as many churches as you can so you can level up your flask. It’s also tempting to want to fight every little enemy but they are there moreso to distract you.

The game is fantastic but definitely not a typical From game. A lot of people may find the pace difficult (and the MP component)
I would love to see game chat added as an update in the future.

 

I would love to see the number of players that go back to Elden Ring after playing Nightreign that die from jumping off a cliff. Haha

 

The first SV DLC is some of the most nostalgic, soothing Pokemon content ever

 

Good to know! I bought it when it came out but just have never played it. When they announced there was going to be a free upgrade, I’d figure I’d just wait to play.

 

I never finished the SV dlc. I feel like I barely got into it

 

I literally got to Alexandra in origins and I went alright later and haven’t gone back to the main story at all lol.

im like level 25 now and still no plans to go back.

 

WOOOOOO finally got the first nightborn boss or whatever the fuck its called. Me and randos, it came down to the wire, we all had no HP, one of the three were downed then I struck the final blow and we all danced in celebration after with our characters.


God damn i've never experienced a game like this, what a blast.

 

Annnnd that’s a wrap on AC Origins. Honestly great open world ubi game and the story whipped. Fantastic setting too.

Sad to see Kando go. NEOTWEWY was a fresh action combat system I hope someone builds off of

 

I spent several hours playing Death Stranding and got to episode three. I get that the running joke is that it’s a walking simulator. But the story is surprisingly deep and there’s a whole lot to it. Lots of lore and world building (literally). The deliveries are really tedious, but many unlock things that make them easier. It’s definitely not for everyone though haha.

Hell ya, chapters 2 and 3 are the longest (and most tedious) but it speeds up a bit after that. Definitely worth it

 

Had some really great runs last night in Nightreign. Beat the first boss twice, we ended up going into the shifting earth event and went ALL THE WAY to the bottom of the map and it is a great way to get OP for the final boss. The boss at the bottom is not bad at all. Such a fantastic game.

 

Gonna try and finally get some games in tonight. Hasn't been a good window available to play at all but I'm really itching to

 

The second boss is an interesting character design.

 

It's my head canon that Majima doesn't need keys to open the safes in Pirates where Ichi/Kiryu DID because he's a PIRATE and that put a giant smile on my face haha.

Finished the story in Expedition 33, and its the most I've enjoyed a game since PS2 days. I would love for the next Final Fantasy to try something like this.
