The final Powerwash Sim map was released today and includes a possible tease for the release date of the sequel. People think it's coming out on August 8.

 

Project Warlock II is out of early access. Another retro shooter. The first one was pretty fun, very pixel-y shooter with secrets, upgrades, etc.

 

Haven't made up my mind about Nightreign yet.

 

I am SO excited for PS2.

 

i'm def gonna get NIghtreign. i don't know if i want the DLC or not as i don't know how MUCH i'll actually play, but at the very least i'll jump on at launch

I was excited for this game until it dropped and I saw the price. And lol. Lmao even.

It's not even that it's a lot to charge for a retro shmup, but if you go to SteamDB, the international pricing is all over the place but still mostly way cheaper than this.

What is this, a tarrifs thing?

 

Steam international pricing has long been a thing to make games affordable in regions with very low average income. People used to abuse the shit out of it.

Started Yakuza Pirates. Ahhh this is so reminiscent of old school Yakuza games.

Ah, well I guess that's fair.

Any thoughts on pricing here? I don't want to sound like I'm cheapening people's hard work or even saying certain genres can only be a certain price point, but it still feels wildly mispriced compared to other releases in the genre.

 

I'm not a big shmup guy, but £45 (£50 without a sale!) feels like a crazy price for the genre, yeah. I feel like if you're pricing a shmup at that kind of price point it better have an unrealistic amount of content, but I will concede I'm not the biggest fan of the genre so maybe I'm misjudging how much content actually IS in here?

Eight stages. Lots of characters though, with co-op, and apparently the story changes depending on who you play as, but still, eight stages.

I played the demo and gushed about it a couple pages back. Fantastic game. However I'm waiting for more patches as the console release seems to be super buggy at the moment.

This is kind of insane. This is an RPG crossover between characters from several indie RPGs, some of which haven't even been released yet, that will be absolutely free. Based as fuck.

yeah there a lot of good things here but most of them are for Steam

why won't they cater to fake gamers like me with only a Switch and a Vita
