I remember spending too much time driving around destroying shit in that game as a teen and not completing any of the missions. Good times. I also have no idea if that game would hold up today.

Yeah lol. Tbf even back in the neogaf days the user base has *always* skewed towards Sony/PS so whenever the console wars comes up people gonna feel a certain type of way.....hence XboxEra for MS and then you have the Nintendo crowd who left and created Famiboards.

There's also InstallBase forum, created because Era threads re: sales, analytics, market news, weekly/monthly charts would get downright VICIOUS and people would catch bans left and right until they said NO MORE discussing that stuff, so people into that left.

NeoGaf was *the* video games forum, and at some point it fell apart, and then ResetEra replaced it. It’s a little more involved than that, but you don’t need to know the details really.

 

I’m a dedicated scholar of both GAF and Era (not an endorsement), but somehow these pitiful sub-community exoduses slipped past me.


That said: if Xbox fanboys are being prosecuted—good. It’s because they deserve it.

 

InstallBase sounds like it would be aggravating as hell, few fanbases (including pundits) are worse at business analysis

finally starting assassins creed origins if my cousin doesn’t ask me to game it today

 

I got like a hour in to assassins creed origins before I was like ok time to eat dinner. Everything seems solid far, I’m still very much learning all the controls and stuff.

I was, and ironically I never even got as far as doing any of their games on Steam. I would like to go back to that though at some point.
