I am majorly behind on single player games, but new job allows me the time to jump back into JRPGs and the like. Should I get Persona 5, FFVII Rebirth, or Metaphor? I'm putting off Clair Obscur for the time being, need to tackle the previously mentioned 3 first.

 

loved it and played it. people just really disliked the last update. I want to wait for a few more updates until I dive back in, as they are reworking character progression.

Out of those I liked Metaphor most, with Rebirth a close second

I feel like CO is having a moment and it’d be a shame to miss out on the zeitgeist

 

haven't made a ton of progress recently in CO. Got teammate #4 and fought a rock dude that required me to just parry forever lmao.

 

Also it’s way shorter than the others, no? I only played Rebirth out of those lol

thinking of doing an NG+ run and changing my party around. and uh maybe unlocking some stuff in ACT 1 I didn't get around to lol

 

Yeah CO is WAY shorter

From what I hear a completionist run is quicker than a standard run of any of those games (except maybe Rebirth)

 

I played gta 4 all the way through last year. Your cousin doesn’t call nearly as often as memes make you believe and the driving mechanics are fine

 

GTA4 is still my favorite

 

The 4th party member in CO is still so confusing for me lol

 

I was too but pretty early on after getting her, you can get a weapon that automatically applies 10 fortell with certain attacks and then you just go from there. She’s pretty strong, a lot of the later enemies are weak to her attacks, at least they are where I’m at in act 2. Also her HP is pretty high compared to the other characters.

 

Man, modded Minecraft kinda kicks ass these days, so much more intuitive than it used to be.

 

Rebirth

 

Yeah room 46 really is only the beginning haha. I’m deeeeeeep into so many new clues and mysteries, it’s insane. I will say you are on the right track with things. I usually start the day with a goal of trying to figure something out and then the run will take me elsewhere and a ton of new clues reveal themselves

 

So I have a dilemma, our new apartment has our router in our bedroom, and there is no ethernet connection in the living room which is where I want to have the PS5. But I’d like to have a more reliable connection so I can use my portal. I tried using it to play CO less than 10 feet away from the console and the connection was choppy. We have Frontier which is a fiber based internet. Any suggestions?

Our apartment has some smart home appliances and I tried to connect directly into the hub and it wouldn’t work.

 

I went with Rebirth. As soon as the music hit I knew I made the right choice. I’ll tackle Metaphor next but Rebirth should last me a while as I usually try to near 100% games on my first play through.

Yea you’re gonna want to figure out how to run a cable.

the problem is, the type of WiFi (5ghz) you need for fast speeds is also very fickle when it comes to obstacles. You could technically switch your PS5 at least to 2.4ghz but that would make playing your Portal unenjoyable. (For some reason 2.4ghz has way higher latency and lower top speeds but it clearly obstacles easily).

A mesh network is obviously also a solution depending on how many walls we’re talking, but personally I find those less annoying to deal with than figuring out a way to elegantly run a cable. I am assuming you’re renting so drilling is not an option :’)
