Gotta get expedition 33 at some point but rn still obsessed with Blue Prince. Started a dare mode run and have come so so close to reaching room 46, I think I’m on day 17 now. Also in my main game I’m at like day 50 and I just keep discovering more and more mysteries. Insane how rolling the credits really was only just the beginning lol

Yea like I’m not gonna lie, the giant bomb I’d pay for is Jeff, Nextlander and a dead guy.

The last week has been hell so I have actually been listening to old Bombcast episodes from 2008 and it’s wild how much better it is than not only current GB but, like, also every other show. It’s almost depressing. That’s not even mentioning how jarring it is to actively remember how vibrant the video game industry once was (360 era) in terms of the variety of retail releases (AA/AAA). So many different games and IPs.

 

Idk I weirdly mostly like where gaming as it, even if I am not super happy with the state of the industry.

I’m playing Sparks of Hope right now as turn based is a god send for obvious reasons

The reason Giant Bomb exists is because Jeff Gerstmann was fired from GameSpot because he refused to give a good review score to Kane & Lynch after the publisher had bought advertising space. Ryan Davis, also GameSpot, joined him and they spinned up Giant Bomb, which then welcomed two more former GameSpot employees that had walked out. That’s the core team. They are all gone (Ryan died, Jeff was fired, the others quit).

I dunno, I'm still suspicious of you.

 

That’s not to say Grubb and the others are bad or whatever. They gotta do what they gotta do. Calling it Giant Bomb is just hollow is all.

 

I’d rather support newer upcoming channels like Minnmax

 

I’m suspicious of all channels (or whatever you wanna call these new outlets) that do sponsored content. At that point they’re just regular streamers/influencers/whatever, and therefore not to be trusted. Maybe that is unfair but it is what it is.

Happy to see TitS, suiko2 and Gears get representation! I think it's noticeable how there's so many SEQUELS included, goes to show that while the first game is always something special, the sequel is devs taking everything they learned and making it even BETTER.

 

P4 is better than P5 imo, XC2 is better than 3, DQV is better than XI. MR at 04 seems like heavy recency bias. LO is a weird pick. I’d say Gold/Silver are solid choices, provided they are talking about the DS versions. They’re not actually the best Pokemon games anymore if you ask me though.

Radiant Historia would have been a great one to put on the list but I’m guessing most of them haven’t played it. I’m also missing Fire Emblem (unless they don’t count that).
