i think my experience with turn based games is very limited, only examples i can think of being FF7, 8, and 13 for jrpgs, NWN1-2 and DA1-3 for western rpgs, and i guess stuff like Indivisible and Child of Light. i definitely wanna get BG3 eventually.

Clair Obscur and Oblivion on Gamepass is a pretty big draw, plus as i mentioned before I wanna play the sequels to Hellblade and Plague Tale

buuut i think i wanna finish this second playthrough of TLOU2 before starting anything new

 

A good turn based system will change your view. Clair obscur could be a good option. I’d also recommend octopath traveler 2 (peak) and any atlus game (persona/metaphor) or paper mario

 

The best meat and potatoes no frills turn based system on the planet remains dragon quest XI tho. more for traditionalists than newcomers but it’s very simple to understand with surprising depth

On the other hand, they gave me a new Clair Obscur key because I'm a dumbass, no hassle or fuss, so sure, take my money.

 

I mean my original post about it said he looked like a combination of both to me. There is definitely a strong enough resemblance to Pattinson that people keep bringing it up and there's articles about it. I see both of them in the design, especially Pattinson from The Lighthouse.

More 4s, Marvel's working promo overtime.

 

Finished AC Shadows. Like 99% clear, 130 hours. What a fucking game. I'm mixed, so mixed....but mainly from positive to super positive. The setting was beautiful, the stealth was GLORIOUS, it's the AC we've been wanting. One of my favorite things about AC games are the lore regarding the real world stuff, the assassin/templar stuff, the ISU civilization......and that's where my biggest fault lies with this game. The ONLY actual lore besides the glitches you can find in the game talking to a Voice are found in the battle pass, there's like half a dozen data entries that are indicating a new group with a new Desmknd-type figure may maybe a new story. It sucks to me because it's so bare bones, but apparently Ubisoft plans on drip feeding lore so we'll see. I guess just coming from the the lore we got from Origins/OdysseyValhalla/Mirage and the integral characters we got introduced to......I feel let down on that front. AC tobmenis a game that not only is 80%-90% historical fiction but also involves the shadow conspiracy of the factions we've come to love. So in a sense it's a bad AC game for the lack of what I've come to love, but it's still a FANTASTIC historical fiction stealth Ubisoft type game.

Also I get why some people complained about the ending, I wouldn't say it's a cliffhanger per se but there's definitely MORE to come as not everything got fully resolved.

So, here I am, griping about something totally normal again.

I'm playing around with Launchbox's playlist generator and I'm baffled by the fact that they don't have "or" statements implemented despite it being a pretty basic concept and it being requested for years.

For example, I want a playlist of 3D Realms games, but sometimes they're a publisher and sometimes they're a developer. I can automate a playlist of one or the other, but not both on one playlist.

It's... vexing.
