So, I have to talk about Tower Unite. This "game", I got it way back in 2019, probably in a bundle of some kind, as I probably wouldn't have sought out this game personally. And now it's apparently out of Early Access, 6 years later, and that's wild to me because I haven't thought about this thing in forever.

It's not a game, it's kind of like a virtual arcade/amusement park/Disneyland, which houses all kinds of different arcade and mini-games, and you literally walk from place to place doing whatever the fuck. I remember you also have your own living space you can customize? Seems like that's still in there. This thing has Libretto support now? So I guess you can customize your own arcade? That's pretty wild. And looks like there's community-generated content as well.

Honestly, I actually have zero clue about everything they've stuffed in this thing since I last played it, but reading through the contents, it sounds like a LOT. Looks like there's an average of a thousand people playing this thing daily, that's not terrible, I think.

I dunno, has anyone else seen this thing?

Yeah, part of the appeal of Doom 2016 was that the story didn’t matter and you’re just there to kick demon ass. Now that said, the Cthulhu ass demon in the new Doom trailer got me hyped as shit so I’m curious about how the story gets there.

 

Probably a hot take but I also wasn’t big on like all the extra shit they added
