I've had a very good time with the latest PoE2, but the game does feel slower and a bit more tedious.

The 'outrage' is way overblown but there deff needs to be tweaking.


Dealing with the hardcore ARPG fanbase is a fucking nightmare, it's their religion and the will fuckin DIE for it

 

I have not gotten as mad in the past 10 years as the people on the PoE2 forum responding to patch notes from this season lmao

 

She came back and we ended up rolling credits. Definitely not done with it yet though.

 

Same, just rolled credits on day 24. I was two steps away from getting there on day 21 lol. Seems like there’s still so much to do! I’m obsessed

 

Prey is way way way better than I expected it to be. It's structurally so far very much like BioShock but with a little more of System Shock than that game.

The worst thing I can say about it is that combat is serviceable at best.

 

Prey, Control, and Darksiders 3 are like the holy trinity of 3d metroidvanias, just perfect in every way imo

 

I’ve been sticking to digital just because I don’t have space to store game cases but this pre-order from Best Buy is tempting lol

 

Prey 2017 was really good. However there were some technical issues that held it back for me. There was a side quest that I couldn’t complete it would glitch out etc

 

prey 2017 has one of if not the best opening scene in video game history but I fell off after just a couple hours because the actual gameplay itself did not even remotely come close to living up to my expectations after that intro. I probably should try again

 

the gameplay gets more interesting the more you level up. some of the alien abilities are really neat, but a human-only playthrough (which i did my first time) can also be interesting and have its own challenges

also anytime i do a playthrough i set it to the easiest difficulty for at least the first couple hours bc the beginning is really hard

tbh half the time i'm just gathering materials to make neuromods, but the more skills you unlock the easier (and more interesting!) the gameplay gets

 

Was watching someone play FEAR yesterday. Been itching to re play that game

 

yeah I might need to try it on a lower difficulty because I remember feeling stuck and the combat being tedious. this was years ago tho and I’m a much more seasoned Gamer now so maybe it’ll be different

 

Surprisingly, one of the more useful human skills is lifting heavy objects bc not only can you bypass quite a few obstacles, you can also use any large items you pick up as thrown weapons haha

"Trepang 1" is this game, the gag being that the developer is named Trepang Studios and Trepang2 is not named that way because it's a sequel but because it's the second game the studio has put out. They never gave it a real name. Their next game will probably be called Trepang3 but be a JRPG about goldfish people for all we know.

 

Once promising developer Tequila Works is auctioning off the rights to its games, including 4 still in development
