as someone who hasn’t owned a physical game in a decade and doesn’t worry about these things i’m just glad Mintendo has given a whole slew of reasons for gamers to unite and universally be unhappy with them

I feel like as one of their biggest haters (and sometimes begrudging fan/enjoyer of their hardware and software) I’ve been joined by even the most vocal of Nintendo supporters who oft wave away any criticism directed their way

 

I need to jump back into it at some point, I got about 10 hours in and then got distracted haha. So many fun jokes and little details

 

I'm like 3 hours in and I already need to twist my hands into a pretzel for utilize all the mechanics. again, endearingly. this rules.

 

finished up my save in Somerville last night. that was an interesting ending. nowhere near the level of Inside or Limbo but still enjoyed it.

anyone have any thoughts on Metro Exodus? I picked all of them up super cheap a while ago and might give this one a shot. trying to not buy new stuff and play what's in the PS+ sub or what I already have lol

So a new console at launch is comparable to the previous console at launch plus it has added shit?

I mean, maybe I'm the one being dumb, but I feel like battery life doesn't exist in a vacuum. You can't just make everything better and not have a cost somewhere. I dunno though, am I wrong?

 

While true, it is a ding on the console considering how much of the appeal comes from the handheld mode.

You're not wrong, I just find it funny that it seems of all the days, Nintendo is getting articles like that AND complaints from players re: pricing.

It's like they can't catch a break on the very day they were hoping to be getting all the praise. Today has *not* been kind for them. At all.

But seriously, I hope you didn't take offense. I legitimately just do not know or care about the battery life of iPhones.

However, I feel I should point out that I just Googled the price point of the newest iPhone and it is at least $150 more expensive than the Switch 2 will be, and that's only if you choose the cheapest model.

When I worked at the sister property of the place I currently work at, the GM there was an Apple person and a few times would make jokes with me and this other guy about getting us to be Apple people, but we were like no way. Then the other guy had to change his phone and he caved and got an iPhone. I'm still disappointed in him.
