I loved it and am all in on the next one. although I’ve stayed away from a lot of the trailers because I knew I’d end up playing the first in the end.

Yeah that's The (Fabula Nova Crystalis FFXIII) Game that Never Was.

Technically it WAS Noctis but we see how that turned out. RIP.

 

What's the game that's coming out soon that's heavily influenced by Versus XIII? I'm blanking on the freaking name and I'm actually looking forward to it

 

Verum Rex? That's the title of the game that Yozora is from in KH3 world....I know Nomura had wanted to make an actual title around Yozora but decided to focus on KH4 first.

 

Nah, this is from an indie studio I believe. I think it was at one of the PS showcases though.

 

Yeah. I know Yozora is not quite Noctis, but with all the discussion following Re:Mind of the two being similar (maybe the same based on the secret ending and other theory videos I’ve seen that I’m not qualified enough to connect beyond they have the same eyes) and the Kingdom Hearts shift to “unreality” giving a good chance for connections, it feels like there’s a good chance for spiritual/thematic connections.

Ehh. I've seen theory vids too and while I think sure it could happen, I think Nomura is and will always be (understandably) petty at being taken off of Versus XIII/FFXV (hence Not-Notcis) and wants to implement everything HE had planned for FNC into KH. Remember, they were both his babies, Noctis got given away to someone else and the man subsequently created a char based on his original plan for Noctis.......I wouldn't be surprised if he was actually very anti Noctis. Cuz in the end FFXV isn't his or what he had planned, just a bare structure of his ideas. Yozora is his chance to create or at least impliment ideas of his original vision of FNC.

But we'll see!

There is absolutely going to be a score. Finishing Move is doing it, who did the score for other Microsoft projects.

 

oh god there is! my bad, I didn't phrase it right. just that the gameplay had music muted, which I found weird when it was such an integral part of the experience

that said I've been watching some footage *with* music and from what I've heard the music hasn't missed a beat (no pun intended), it sounds exactly like you'd want it to sound.

 

Okay, phew, hahaha. Obviously that would have been incredibly weird but you never know!

 

Might've added tension. Who knows, it might've been cool.
