That's fair, and also the reason why I didn't actually share any of the tweets I saw. It's just annoying that you can't go anywhere without all these stupid fights, so I just needed to vent.

Edit: I also usually try to avoid that part of the internet, so it was more being baffled at how stupid it was too.

 

Give me a modern day/Abstergo only game and it revolve around the present war between assassins and templars PLEASE :]

Hell, I thought with the Watchdogs template they would have done a Desmond game back in the day but nothing ever happened.

 

A modern day Assassin's Creed would just be Hitman.

I have personally never heard anyone call ghost of tsushima a masterpiece except my 16 year old brother, and he took it back a couple months later. I had a great time with the game and feel like I've defended it against haters more than I've seen it praised.

 

Not too concerned with if it’s over or accurately rated, but I think Tsushima rocks and all the open world collectible stuff was compelling and incentivized well

edit: actually except all those fox shrines, those kinda sucked

 

A couple of hours into SC Shadows and I’m loving it so far. Can see HOURS being lost just walking around looking at stuff. Good job I have no social life.

 

Also visited a temple and petted the Akita and her 4 puppies. Because that’s the law.

This is where I stand on it, the world is so beautiful and feels great to get lost and run around in. I never platinum games, but I did for Ghost it never once felt like a chore. It may not have been a ground breaking game but for me was a 9/10 in everything it tried and wanted to be. I could see it suffering from the hype and cult following it’s gained post release and how someone playing it now compared to at release could feel a bit let down by unrealistic expectations.

just for the record I think on paper Ghosts of Tsushima is a supremely competent game, I just found that the gameplay loop became tedious before the game was even half over, and the strength of the mechanics could not carry me over the repetition.

The same could be said about Elden Ring but there the sense of discovery and visceral combat (plus the challenge) made up for it.

 

Idk how it’s on me that other people are calling it a masterpiece

 

What Ghost of Tsushima needs is a mode where I can just fight endless more difficult guys
