Gears 5 outsold Gears 4 even though it was one GamePass on day one, unlike 4 which came out before GamePass was a thing. Pretty wild.

 

Also wouldn't it be funny of Microsoft buys like Sega or Capcom lolol Suddenly Persona is an Xbox franchise

 

I've been playing 4, not too far into it but it's fun. Excited to get to 5

Trying to beat Cold Steel 3 right now. I'm finishing chapter 2, these games are so long but so fantastic

Yeah I'm really wondering what Asian studio(s) they have their eye on. They do still need a way to endear the brand to the Japanese market, specifically.

Microsoft buying Asian studios will end like them buying exclusivity to JRPGs last gen. Hardly anyone will play the games lol

Oh yeah I see what you mean, those games were being held back by the fact that the 360 wasn’t big in Japan. That’s still true yeah, but I still think certain Japanese exclusives could be worth it just for the West.

 

It would definitely have a bigger impact in the West on Xbox sales, but will still drastically lower how many people play those games in Japan. I guess it also depends on the studio. Imagine if they bought From Software lmao
