I was shocked to find out I was in the minority of people who loved FFVIII.

 

I really like how many different ways you can choose to play FF8, it's an extremely flexible game (hence how easy it is to cheese)

 

Plus, Gunblades are fucking cool

I was 8-9 years old when it came out like "It's a GUN but it's a SWORD DUDE" and nothing else mattered

 

Looks like we had very similar experiences at the same age lol

 

I definitely liked it a lot more as a kid. Of the PS1 era, I'd have to say 9 > 7 > 8. I can still throw 9 on at any point in the game and absolutely love the experience.

 

9 > 8 => 7 for me I think depending on the day

 

I feel like I really need to give 9 another chance. I think since 7 was my first full FF experience, then playing 8, going to the style of 9 really was not for me at the time.

 

I watched all of the boss fights for Blasphemous. They make it look so easy, but I know I would get my shit wrecked. It'd be like Hollow Knight all over again.

 

The fact that they threw my ass into a boss fight right away, game just isn't for me. Ease me into it damnit

 

The best part of Final Fantasy VIII is that Squall was designed to look like River Phoenix

I played FF8 for the first time completely just about a year and a half ago and had fun but it really wasnt memorable for me. It was fun once the junction system clicked for me which didnt happen until around disc 2 lol

 

Watching this now and, yeah, it's solid analysis

 

I hate paying $60 to play Link's Awakening again. Nintendo stinks with their pricing.

 

I agree 100%. I made the leap to custom firmware

 

50 at walmart

 

I keep forgetting this but at the same time I struggle with going to Walmart strictly for Switch games

 

they do have quick shipping now

 

I don’t know what’s worse, Nintendo keeping the prices of their software at the same price for a long time or the used prices on said software.

 

i do my food shopping there too lol, its a miserable experience every time but everything is just so much cheaper
