I got bored of Apex after 30 minutes

 

Pokémon and astral chain look like easy GOTYs

Doom is coming this year too. I’m not too worried.

 

I know Pokémon will be my GOTY. Fire Emblem will be up there too. I know I've only been playing Judgement for two hours but it's already top 3 so far lol

 

Tangledeep on sale for £9.49 should I buy it?

Astral Chain being an "easy GOTY" is a really strange statement to read.

I know I'm in the minority but I don't love Bayonetta. Think the only Platinum game I love is N:A

 

I’m sure when I play Bloodstained it will be tied with REmake2 as my game of the year

 

gah I don't need to buy more games that will sit in my library unplayed. I've been in a big gaming funk recently. I do want tangle deep though

literally bought a Switch just for this game.

It's not for everyone. It can get kinda repetitive as the dungeons aren't very creative and the game structure remains basically the same throughout. Also the story ain't much.

But the game is absolutely beautiful. The soundtrack is one of the best I've ever heard, to the point that I listen to it to fall asleep sometimes. And the battle system is soooo much fun. Using the break system is the most fun I've had with combat in an RPG in a long time.

I am really a retro gamer at heart so the golden age of 16 bit RPGS really appeals to me, so this game checks every base for me. Story isn't that important to me, especially for JRPGs. I'm way more about the gameplay.

 

Death Stranding I see as the only potential runaway GOTY winner if it hits big this year. I think RE2 is pretty clearly in front people just feel iffy on giving a remake GOTY.

 

KH3 is my personal GOTY but I know that I’m very much in the minority on that one. I do hear rumblings that COD may do very well critically this year.

 

Sekiro, RE2 and Judgement are my top 3 rn

 

KH3 was my first KH and I hated it

 

My top is re2. Only game I played this year.

 

RE2 was amazing. No doubt the "horror is bad" crowd hate it

 

I don't really play major release games when I think about it. This FF XIV expansion is one of the greatest stories I have ever seen in a game so I guess that can count as my GOTY
